Reviews for San Francisco Sourdough Style Eatery in Boise, ID
The best sandwich shop in the area. I highly recommend getting your sandwich with the ?house spread?, I don?t know what?s in it... but it?s addicting. The owner is also very friendly. Read more
French Dip. Nice.. Roast beef cooked perfectly, bread was nice (soft inside with a nice outer crust). Au jus was not too... salty (but like a little salt to it). Portion was nice size and I'll be back. Well done. Read more

Soooooooo bomb. Anthony was very Nice and that pastrami with coleslaw blew my mind! I turned back around for seconds
Perfect lunch spot! Relaxed atmosphere. Expansive menu to satisfy everyone?s taste. The staff answered all of our questions and... made great recommendations. The sourdough is some of the best bread I?ve had on a deli sandwich! The staff also let us samplethe soup before ordering, which was a delicious addition to the sandwich. Definitely coming back! San Francisco? Sourdough? Eatery? ?????? I visited the Boise location of San Francisco? Sourdough? Eatery? years ago but my... experience was not memorable. I visited it for the second time on? 12/10/21, prompted by a couple of great reviews by members ofmy FB group Southern Idaho Foodies, one of which mentioned this business having great soup.? I ordered a specialty sandwich,?Pastrami? Topped with Coleslaw? ($9.50) and a cup of Clam? Chowder? ($5.50). I like that my sandwich had lots of pastrami. Iwould have preferred it if the bread had been grilled because the combination of the hot meat, sauce a.k.a. special spread, andthe coleslaw made it a bit soggy. I wouldn?t order this particular sandwich again because the flavor overall was a bit sweet formy taste, but I would like to try another sandwich. I gave half of my sandwich to a coworker who loves sandwiches. She enjoyedit.? I didn?t care for the? Clam Chowder, which came with 3 small slices of sourdough bread. But I would like to try some oftheir other soups.? The next time I visit, I plan on ordering another specialty sandwich?, The Open Face Italian Roast Beef. This is an East Coast sandwich. I?ve never seen it on any other menu in Idaho. I was told they order their? Giardiniera from acompany back East. I LOVED the Sourdough bread! I like that they sell sourdough loaves, which are actually the same sourdoughbaguettes they used to make their sandwiches with. I would give this business 5 stars based simply on the quality of theirsourdough bread. I will definitely be stopping here the next time I need some great sourdough bread.? The gentleman working thefront counter told me the recipe they use is over 100 years old. I believe it.? This is a clean and well-run business. Thecustomer service was excellent! The gentleman at the counter was more than happy to answer all of my questions. I was in and outquickly. There are two locations in? Southern Idaho. One is a Boise; the other is in Meridian.
