10/4/22 Update. Gyro Shack Admin reached out to learn more about my experience. After two email exchanges, I received a gift... card to try them out again. The care and concern the company showed turned my frown upside-down. Thanks for taking care of thesituation. Original post: Usually a great experience but not this time. Horrible.. gross. I had to repeated every detail of my order about 5 times and it was still incorrect.when I pulled up to the... window, the employee who greeted me was wearing a crop top. I was kind of surprised that was . I?ve worked in the food industrybefore and that was never allowed. But hey, times change, you do you.. When I got my meal, Couldn?t even finish it. Ordered afalafel gyro (which I usually get and love!) the taziki sauce was all over on the outside of the pita.. the only pieces oflettuce that I was given was were the crunchy middle stem parts.. the falafel was all bunch up into one spot in the pita. Iopened the pita, ate the falafel, and threw the rest away. I also ordered just some pita bread and hummus, their hummusshouldn?t even be called hummus. Tasted like straight up olive juice.. I took one bite and spit it out instantly. It?s like theblended up chic peas and mixed it with olive juice and called it hummus ???? I?m usually not a picky eater, I?ll eat anything..but yuck! the employees have no clue what they are doing, seems like this place will just hire about anybody who wants the job. please... find better quality employees who arent rude and can actually cook. because the ones you currently have are slacking away andare terrible at customer service. what a joke!! Didn't even stick around to eat. Showed up and the girl opened the window, said nothing not one word or even a smile, was... rubbing her neck and face and glowering at us. I asked about about menu item, got an eye roll and a "yeah" We left Not spendingone hard earned dime at a place like this. Too many other options with good food and great service which makes spending moneyworth it. Food might be great, who knows, but the service is terrible so it would ruin the food regardless. Ordered a deluxe gyro, a deluxe gyro salad without onions, a bacon avocado salad. Tipped $2.00. The deluxe salad had lots of... onions, the bacon avocado salad was missing the spicy sauce. Called and they said we were so busy we forgot, NOT!! We were theonly car there!! I told her that and then she said well, what do you want us to do about it. Are you kidding me? The falafel is amazing! Love the tzaziki. The green spicy sauce is addicting, so watch out- you'll be craving it again and... again. My instincts say that the bad reviews recently are being left by a disgruntled ex- employee. Just my 2 cents. Read more
We were coming in from a long road trip from out of town and this sounded like good food after having been in the car all day.... We verified it was open until 9 o?clock and made sure we got there plenty early. When we pulled up at 8:30 it appeared that someof their lights were having trouble but the lights were on as well as the open sign in the store. We looked at their menu andthen pulled forward to order and as we pulled forward they shut all their lights out. This was 30 minutes until closing time. Westayed at the window and could see them in the back and they could see us but they would not come to the window. Verydisappointing. I wish to commend the management of this establishment because they responded to my review and made effort toright the wrong. Read more
