I am a repeat customer and placed many orders over the years, so for me this review is a first. I placed my order at 1:07 pm... today I was told it was going to take 40min. I arrived after 45 min. My food wasn?t ready I waited additional 30 minutes. Alsothe girl up front is very dismissive. I ask for my two fish to not be dry and over fried. Both was salty and super dry. I lookat the food I told the girl it looks very dry. She was dismissive. I can tell they don?t have the same chief that usually cookbecause the food was over salty and dry. Read more

I called in advance and placed 3 orders, when I arrived 35 min as requested the food wasn?t ready. I waited another 15 min only... to be told that one of my orders they ran out of. The woman was very dismissive about it. Then I had to wait another 15 min foranother meal, which was chicken and plantains. When I opened the container it was 5 little pieces. This experience wasdisappointing. I will not recommend anyone to go there since with a 2 mile radius there is 3 Haitian restaurants. Go to Pearl ofthe Islands in Margate, they never disappoint. Saw the page on Instagram and when I looked at the pictures it seemed as if I could not go wrong with ordering take out at this... place for my family and I. When I read the reviews it seemed the only problem was customer service but most reviews said thefood was amazing so despite the horrible service that was mentioned I took a chance on it. Don?t believe the hype the food wasnot ?amazing? it was close to acceptable at best the gratine Listed on the menu as ?macaroni au gratin? was the worst I?ve everhad. The duri djondjon was undercooked and to my complete shocked I got pork instead of Tassot turkey which I had to throw awaybecause we are 7th days Adventist. The tassot Kabrit could pass but nothing amazing. And to think I had to wait an extra 40minutes when I arrived to pick up the food despite having called ahead of time I am beyond disappointed and it saddens me toknow this is the place that?s been reviewed as having ?Amazing haitian food? especially for non-Haitians who are not familiarwith Haitian food this is a poor presentation of what my country Haiti offers. The food tasted good but the lady was always on the phone and she was very rude talking while the customer were in front of her... on her cell phone also she was not using gloves and she was touching her face and stuff like that while touching the food. Read more
I've been following this restaurant on IG for a while now. I decided to make the trip today and I'm so happy I did. The food is... as delicious as it looks on the pictures. I wished my mouth was bigger! Lol. The place is small, but clean and cozy. The girlDarlene, (sorry if I misspelled it) was very accommodating, nice and professional. I have absolutely no complaints, I just wishI stayed closer that restaurant lol. Definitely worth the drive, worth the stop ???? Read more
