We haven't been here in years and they moved to a new location in the new Uptown Boca shopping center. Very nice décor with a... limited centric fish and seafood menu. I had one of the Daily specials, Kung Pao Shrimp with noodles, shrimp prepared Kung Paostyle, fried and tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce served over soy glazed noodles with macadamia nuts and a cilantro garnish.Surprisingly very good. I ordered a BONEFISH HOUSE SALAD ,hearts of palm, Kalamata olives, tomatoes and citrus herb vinaigrette, only $5.50 with an entrée, also very good. My wife tried the CORN CHOWDER & LUMP CRAB with a hint of bacon and theMARYLAND-STYLE CRAB CAKES house-made lump crab cakes with red rémoulade sauce , both very good. NOT your new lunch hangout! I?ve been to Bonefish Grill a few times in Boca Raton back when it was on Powerline Rd, which was... never open for lunch. However, since they relocated to Uptown Boca and now have their own free standing building, they are openfor lunch as the outside sign boasts (see my pictures). Therefore, I figured I?d try it out, especially since I had not dined atthis new location before. Firstly, the decor and ambiance is very modern and chic in contrast to their previous location. Wewalked in around 11:45am and noticed that there was only 1 other table sitting down. The place was FREEZING cold, which some mayor may not like. Their previous location was the same way for those who may have never been. After being seated, I noticed thatthe menu was exactly the same as their dinner menu, so I asked if there was any lunch menu available and there was not. Kind ofa let down since their food isn?t inexpensive and I was hoping for possibly smaller lunch portions. After a few minutes, wenoticed that the other table got up and left without ordering. We weren?t certain why at the time. It took our waiter about 4-5mins to come wait on us. We were then the only ones left in the entire restaurant. Unfortunately, our food took about 45 mins toarrive at our table. We didn?t know why it took so long since we were the only ones in the place. I had ordered the Lily?sChicken dish as it sounded quite unique and was told that many patrons consider it their favorite. The food presentation wasnice and it was tasty mostly due to the goat cheese but my chicken was a bit overcooked and very much on the dry side. The greenbeans were cooked just right but the flavor was terribly bland. The mash potatoes on the other hand were good and I could tastesmall smooth potato chunks inside the mash that melted in the mouth and was quite flavorful. Overall, the dish for me was justok. BFG, you aim to please every customer. Your service gets better each time. Thank you!! Update: our waitress brought the House ... Salad with bleu cheese crumbles accidentally. Great mistake. Loved this version of the house salad. Perfect with sunflower seedsand other extras. The bbq glazed tritip sirloin was cooked to perfection. If you're not a bbq sauce fan, ask them to put it onthe side. Be sure to make a reservation. If you don't have a res, high tops are easily available 1st come 1st serve. Service,food. atmosphere. Great dining experience overall 10/10. Calamari app w/ BG's dip - can't go wrong. 1/2 lb Burger, Filet,Sirloin w/ crab all done to medium perfection as requested.
