If you're looking to get away from everything and have peace and quiet then this is the place. There isn't cell reception, so no... one will be calling. But, there is WiFi in the lodge. I have Verizon so I could text and call in there. But, my friend has AT&Tso she could not text or call. The cabins are super cute and well stocked. They overlook the field with the cows and it's veryrelaxing to sit and watch them on the deck. If you stay up late enough you can see a million stars as well as the foggy lookingstrip of the galaxy. The food at the restaurant is pretty amazing. The steaks are cooked very well and they come with salad,baked potato, beans and olives/peppers/carrots as an appetizer. The chocolate cake was to die for! My friend was partial to theApple cake with rum sauce. You have to make reservations in advance for each meal just so the owners know how many to plan on.The owners, Karen and Steve, are very nice. Karen is talkative and very knowledgeable about the area. She had somerecommendations for hikes for us. We also went horseback riding twice. The ranch manager, Larissa, is the nicest person ever.But, it's not a normal trail ride. You're riding working horses as you go check on the cattle. The rides are about 2 hours long.Then if you want to you can stay and unsaddle and brush the horses down. They are very sweet animals. I would highly recommendthis place to anyone who wants to get awayfrom everything and maybe hike or catch up on reading. It's well worth the drive! Read more

If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, look no further. The lodge and its cabins are secluded in the woods and the... sunrises, sunsets and nightskies are gorgeous. The cabins are big and beautiful and their patios add so much to the charm. Therestaurant at the lodge serves delicious quality food. They offer horseback riding on the cattle ranch which was a dream cometrue for me. This place is magical. Read more
