We went for an early dinner and it was a little busy but not extremely busy. The service was decent but I was disappointed in... the lack of communication about the delays in the food coming out of the kitchen. Our server stopped by a couple times to checkour drinks but had to be flagged down numerous times as well. Not one time was there any communication about the food delays. Wewere seated over an hour before we got our entrees and we were not the only ones whose food took so long. When our food didarrive it was okay but not worth the wait unfortunately. Read more

We came on Tuesday, we have already been here on other occasions. They always serve us well and the food is very good. Correct... quality and price, also the plates are super full. The atmosphere is good during the middle of the day, at happy hour there ismore noise. Some afternoon there is live music. The terrace and the outside bar are fantastic, although if you prefer, you caneat inside, where they have a huge lounge. Keep in mind that it fills up quickly, so to enjoy it, come a little early . 100%recommended. Read more

This was our second visit here while visiting HH and once again it was amazing! The portions are huge and the prices are very... reasonable. We had the Spinach Seafood Dip and oh my goodness- it was probably the best seafood dip we've ever had! They giveyou so much we were full before our meals came! My husband got the chicken salad sandwich and I had the shrimp salad and we bothhad the crab and corn chowder. One of my favorite things about this place is that they don't skimp on the seafood in any of thedishes. Huge pieces of crab and shrimp. Everything was SO good! The service was great too - we had two servers since we satoutside and they were both attentive and friendly despite being busy. My only complaint was a very rude lady was smoking at hertable which was smack in the middle of the outside dining area. I'm not sure what the smoking policy is in SC, but it was theonly thing that made our otherwise wonderful experience not so great. No one should have to breathe smoke while eating.Hopefully this was an isolated thing but either way we will be back and highly recommend this place! It was my first time visiting the Okatie Ale House take out. Absolutely the best fish & chips in the USA. Every bite tasted... delicious. The chips were super crunchy on the outside with that soft potato center. The service was fast and friendly. Thelarge patio area that overlooks a small lake was great. Okatie Ale House? is directly across from?? Hampton Inn & Suites? and?is ?not far from Starbucks, Wells Fargo Bank, and ? Walgreens Pharmacy?.? Keep up the good work.? ?Please try this restaurant. What a fun place to eat, and you can sit outside weather permitting, and wait at the bar for seating. The food was delicious and... my hubby got shrimp and scallops tossed in marinara sauce and fresh basil served over a bed of pasta. I got country friedchicken, beer battered and fried, served with gravy, mashed potatoes and veggie of the day. We'll definitely go back and eatthere when passing through Okatie again. Read more
We had read about this place several times in the last few visits to HHI. A couple of negative reviews had put us off trying the... restaurant. We met our realtor there and decided to give it a try. It has become our new favorite! The menu is just about asvaried as you can get! Everything either my husband or I have tried has been excellent! The portions are generous, and this isthe least expensive place we have found with this quality of food! They serve wines and beers also. There is an outside tiki barwith seating to eat. This area keeps pretty full so be prepared for a short wait. Wherever you choose to sit there are tvs towatch various sports channels. The restaurant has a noisy, fun, relaxed family atmosphere, so don't come here for a quiet,romantic dinner for two! ???? We can recommend the onion rings, the half sandwich and soup, (you have to try the crab, cornchowder), the shrimp and chips - the batter is light and crispy, the shrimp large and plentiful! I am told the Reubens andpastrami sandwiches are really good along with the fish tacos. We took our grandchildren when they were with us one trip. Theycan be a bit fussy sometimes, but they cleared their plates without any bother! The service there is quick and the staff arealways very efficient, polite, and friendly. Read more
