I have been coming to Lowcountry Fresh Market for the past few months for their sourdough bread ($12/boule). Last week, I called... ahead because they had been sold out the last few times I tried and they said it would be ready at noon. I couldn?t get theretil 5 and they were sold out, which was disappointing but totally fine. Today, I decided to try their online order and curbsidepickup to make sure I?d be able to get some. I ordered 2 boules and added 3 bagels because the minimum order was $30. A fewhours later, I received a message that said, ?Your order with Low Country Market and Cafe is thank you for your order? which wasobviously something wrong with their system. I called to confirm it was ready and I could pick it up curbside and was told yeahit?s ready but come in and pay. I said I already paid online and it was supposed to be curbside, and she said no you need tocome in. Fine - not a huge deal. I drive there, go inside and am handed 2 bags. Fortunately, I checked them - first, the bagelsweren?t there. Easy fix. However, the sourdough was BURNED. These boules have always been on the well-done side but this wasbeyond burned. I asked if there were others I could swap out and the cashier went to check. The manager then comes out and tellsme they aren?t burned. I?m not an idiot - I know burned bread when I see it. I tell her I?ve gotten this bread several timesbefore and it has never looked even close to this. She said it?s the only sourdough bread they made that day and flatly asks ifI want a refund. No apology - no admission that yes, they?re probably too burned to sell. No apology for driving all the way outthere for nothing. All in all highly disappointed. I wanted to love this place but at this point the price and inconvenienceare not worth it. I will not be coming back. Read more

I had lunch at Low Country and it was good. I had a turkey sandwhich with a slice of cheese, lettuce and tomato, on great bread... you won't find at the local supermarkets. It came with kettle chips and I purchased a great root beer from the market shelvesto accompany my lunch. This particular root beer is not commonly found and they have many more root beers and various bottleddrinks most other restaurants do not. This is a great perk. It helps in making a great and enjoyable eating adventure. Anotherbonus that not every restaurant can offer, is a very large screened in porch to eat in. It has fans running and a wonderfulbreeze coming in, seemingly even on very hot days. You can't help but be relaxed in this room. It is a great feature. LowCountry's restaurant is a great place for a meal that in addition tasting good - relaxes you and helps you enjoy their namesake- the Low Country. I haven't really tried their market offerings which looked to be many, but I will soon. Read more

I truly love this store/restaurant! I was greeted and helped by all staff that I encountered, I had the most delicious baked... good from the cafe, and the selection is hyper local. A lot of items are made on site, like the breads, frozen sauces, andprepped foods, so they smelled and looked so fresh! Yes, it is a little more expensive but I'm happy to pay that as it goes tolocal farmers, artisans, etc. This store is perfect for a quick gift as well, as they have a cool collection of cool books andsome craft chocolates and things of the like. Seriously, I really really loved my visit here and cannot wait to continue goingback. Keep up the good work! Read more

Everything about this place was 5 star worthy. From the moment I walked in I felt such a good/positive vibe! I was greeted with... joy and assisted by a few different people while browsing waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. We had breakfast and bothtruly enjoyed our meals. I had the breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel and it was so so good. My cousin had the cornedbeef hash and raved about it. We also ordered a macaron, a blueberry muffin and a chocolate chocolate chip cookie and all weredelicious. I will definitely be back. I also want to add that the bathrooms were very nice and clean and we had a preschoolerwith us and the place was very kid friendly. Read more

First time to Low Country Fresh and was disappointed, I ordered the 2 piece chicken and it came out 3 minutes after I ordered... it. It was a dark brown which meant it was over cooked, it was very dry . The waitress offered to bring me another piece but Ifigured it would be the same. My wife ordered the Lox on a bagel, it was stale and was very hard to bite though, she had livedin New York and knew her bagels . Nice building. Read more
