OH. MY. GOD. I am going to say right now that if you have any issues with Arlene or Joe - see me. They are INCREDIBLE human... beings. I call Arlene my ?mom? and Joe is ?dad?. My grandmother was born in Sicily- my grandfather was from Calabria. That beingsaid - when I tried the soup I had tears in my eyes. I have not had Italian food like this since I was a little girl and theservice is INCREDIBLE. All of the weird reviews on here are bogus and I am telling you as an Italian woman living in the Hiltonhead area- I will never go to any other Italian restaurant now that I have been here. Rudest owners we?ve ever experienced! Had the food been halfway decent, it might be excusable but they have nothing to back up... their nasty, arrogant attitude. Mediocre food, horribly presented, way overpriced (we don?t mind paying top dollar for greatfood), and not worth it. There is no love or passion for food in this place. If you dare to complain, the owner will cuss youout or want to fight you! Seriously! Save your money and go to a real restaurant where they care about their customers and whatthey serve. Got a reservation for two during the week, but they were not very busy. Great selection of mid-level wines that were priced very... well. I had a Pio Cesare - Dolcetto at a very good price. Had two appetizers; the calamari was good, but not special. We alsohad fried -stuffed zucchini flowers which were great. For the main entrees, we both had a pasta with seafood with dirrecentsauces. My husband and I took his brother here for dinner....sadly, just getting around to doing this review. First, this restaurant... came *HIGHLY RECOMMENDED*...from an area restaurant owner!! They did not disappoint, hands down...the *best* Italian inBluffton...and I don't say that lightly because there is another gem here that we absolutely love. Wonderful stuff, food wasnothing less than amazing...wine selection superb...and the canolis...let me just say I was *STUFFED*...but made room for thesescrumptious delectables!! Wonderful family owned restaurant with amazing food!! The owner Arlene was so sweet and made sure to catch us at the door to... tell us goodnight and she hoped we'd be back....we will definitely be back!
