Mixed review. Fish and chips were outstanding, fish had crispy outside with moist and flaky inside. Wife had steak and mushroom... pie and it was Luke warm at best. Microwave reheat didn't help...really ruined the meal for her. Read more

Great service! Our server, Shauntell was a real professional. Knowledgeable, pleasant and knew just when to check on us. No... rushing, no lag time. The young man bringing us our food and clearing our table was pleasant with an excellentpersonality. Food is great and reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. Well worth the 40 minute drive from Beaufort. Read more

3.5 stars. Invited to dinner by friends this week. It was very busy but we had reservations and seated immediately. It's tight... seating with tables and booths but the noise level wasn't distracting. Didn't really care for the interior. Felt very dated. Wewere quickly greeted and our drinks delivered STAT. Placed our order and maybe waited 20ish minutes. Considering how busy theywere, I thought it was very quick food service. As for the food...I ordered a Rueben, hubs ordered a fish sandwich. Neither ofus enjoyed our food. I guess missing for me was the bread grilled in butter and moist meat. The bread may have been toasted andwas very dense. Only ate half. Did not take the other half home. I think it was served with fries but not memorable. The reasonI give 3.5 stars is that our dinner partners seemed to really enjoy their food. As were so many others there, it appeared. Ithink perhaps I might enjoy other items and willing to try again. I'll chalk this one up to maybe not such a good night for theRueben. Read more

Tried it twice. One time dined in and got the beef wellington app. It was soggy and the brown sauce they put on it was like... burnt plastic. A really off putting flavor. Fried fish dinner was really super greasy just dripping. Had seafood platter andwas same. Wont be back i imagine 3rd visit would be same. Just not worth the money. Read more

Some things were fabulous and some were not. The not so good scotch egg appetizer - it was cold and tasteless. The egg on the... inside was over done. The lobster pot pie was way too funky fishy. Now for the fabulous - beef wellington appetizer, it wassavory and satisfying. The crab cake blt was crazy good! The service and atmosphere was also outstanding. Read more

After six years of living in the area we "discovered" this wonderful restaurant. we were looking for a new breakfast place and... the one we were looking for was closed. We just happened by the British Open Pub and noticed their Open for Breakfast banner .Wesaid "why not" so we went in .We were immediately pleased with the décor but even more pleased with the food and the service. We had blueberry scones as a semi-appetizer followed by all the food each of us could eat .Our waitress was as nice andattentive as any we've found in Bluffton or Hilton Head. If you haven't been here yet you're missing a fine experience. Our nextstop will be for lunch, they have a great menu for that, also. Read more

This is our favorite reataurant on the island. We go several times each trip. Both locations are owned by the same owner and he... takes great pride in his food and service. My favorite is the Royal Birkshire and Mushroom Pie. They bring it to your table andpour it hot over your plate in front of you. So delightful! Everything we've always ordered has been splendid.
