Loved it! I dined there on Sunday because I found their menu to be preferable to the "complimentary" offering provided by the... hotel. The entire staff was lovely. Super personable! The bartender on duty that evening was John G. and he went above andbeyond with all the guests. He was an expert not only in managing the bar business... but knowing the menu and recommendinggreat dishes! I would definitely return... and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Minneapolis! We had a fantastic experience at Woolley’s! We came for happy hour & dinner. The bar was extremely busy with the after work... crowd, but there were several booths open. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I can’t even explain how fast the foodcame out - we had drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert all in less than an hour. The food was delicious! I highly recommendthe Korean beef tacos - they were outstanding. I also loved the French onion soup! My husband had the calamari and said it wasokay, but nothing special. He’ll skip that one next time. I tried the Brussels sprouts- also okay, but nothing amazing.Definitely more of a steamed / sautéed side dish than an appetizer. Generous portions, though. We each tried the pasta, bothof which were tasty. My husband had the black & blue pasta without the blue cheese - sounds like it defeats the purpose, but itdidn’t. It was delicious! I had the pasta vodka, which was also tasty. We ended with some very affordable desserts! I had thewhiskey caramel bread pudding - YUM - and husband had the white chocolate cheesecake. This was a pretty good place I had the salmon with grilled broccoli. The broccoli was a whole literal broccoli which I hadn't... seen before but they left the rubber band on it and if I hadn't seen it before I had put it in my mouth I would have eaten itand could've choked on it. The salmon was very good though. The tables were a little bit too small so it was hard to cut yourfood. And it took a while for the food to come out. And the prices were way too expensive. Absolutely the best service from Richard! The Filet is a must! Just spring for it! It’s not a big area so get in early if... you can but if you can’t get a table, order room service! You cannot go wrong with the pretzels! If they have them becausethey’re a favorite with everyone. If it’s cold, the French Onion Soup is fantastic! Read more
Had an awesome evening at Woolleys. We came in around 8pm when it happened to be very busy, but if you have patience then this... isn’t an issue. Richard was our server and he was incredibly pleasant. He gave great recommendations and was very personable.We got the Korean beef tacos and Ahi tuna with pineapple salsa which were both delicious. Also got the guac burger w/ onionrings and it did not disappoint. Asked for it to be cooked medium and it came out medium which is always nice. Wish we came heresooner because we don’t have a chance to come back and try it again before leaving town! Read more
