My wife and I welcomed the First of December's arrival with breakfast at Taste of Scandavia. We were warmly welcomed by Debbie,... who also was our able and congenial server. We enjoyed two of today's specials: a Crab Asparagus Omelet prepared to perfectionand an equally luscious Blueberry French Toast with Two Eggs once over easy and Bacon. The ample portions were wonderfullyprepared by a chef who knows how to delight his/her guests. Highly recommended. Read more

Located inside Festival foods, this is a great breakfast place! We ordered Swedish pancakes and Swedish Pyttipana. I... substituted toast with Lefse. The food was great and the price was roughly $12 a plate. Our waitress, Mena, was very friendlyand helpful! Great and fast service! Read more

Fantastic hidden gem offering a large menu with equally generous portions. I had the salmon scramble, which included a whole... filet atop a three-egg blend of cheese and peppers and a multigrain pancake?delicious. Don?t let the entrance dissuade you, asyou have to enter the grocery store first. However, the position of the restaurant allows you to dine without seeing the store. The menu, prices, and portions make the visit well worth it. Read more

One of the hardest things about ordering here is that there are so many delicious options! I always have a hard time deciding.... It's one of my top places to go to for brunch. At my latest visit, I had the swedish wontons (they were SO GOOD--they shouldhave this at the State Fair), the salmon scramble (great portion size and very tasty, and the dill sauce and salsa that camewith it was a yummy combo), and I had their wild berry smoothie that they top with whip cream (also recommend) I also enjoytheir Norwegian lefsa breakfast and their sweet scandinavian lefse breakfast. Oh, do try their hot chocolate.???? Their cakes(made to order) are also wonderful and the price is reasonable with the quality and size of the cake you get. Recently I orderedtheir Hummingbird Torte. I tend to prefer "lighter" cakes and desserts rather than rich-tasting ones say like brownies or verychocolatey things...and this hits the spot. I was expecting the fruity flavors to be more apparent, but it's quite good and thecake is moist with a good ratio of cake to icing. In store, you can buy various jams, like lingonberry, gooseberry, cloudberry(my fave), etc. They also have displays filled with various pastries and other sweets. I've had only good experiences with thepeople who work there--kind, helpful, and friendly. Read more

What an excellent hole in the wall cafe/restaurant! We were looking for something besides the normal IHOP/Denny's fare for... breakfast, stumbled upon this, and gave it a second thought when seeing it was inside the grocery store located here. We decidedto give it a shot and were not disappointed in doing so. We ordered the belgian waffle and normal breakfast items, as well asthe Norwegian Lefse Breakfast and Chunky Cinnamon French Toast. All of the above were great, but especially the Lefse Breakfastand French Toast (pictured)! I don't make it to Minneapolis too often anymore but will be sure to stop by next time I'm intown. Don't miss out on this hidden gem! Read more
