It's been a little while, not I can't speak on any changes that might've been done since. Only bee there a few times, not... crowded either time; always a plus. Hint of a funky (or old smell thats seem to be apart of the Atmos they want? But as I hadjust been discharged from a stay in the hospital, I was dying to go get some much needed movement back by playing a few frames.Overall it was quiet, low light but not so low it's hiding some serious issues. In addition, there ARE people that wanna sulkover a beer and what-have-you, do a bit of writing, to stumble around and try to make sense of it. I recall it a place where youcan have fun with friends & fam, or just be left to your own device(s); and long as the drinks keep coming, you're golden. Ordera bloody Mary, with a beer sidecar. -BUT DONT LET THEM TRY TO WEASEL OUT OF IT, or even try to charge you for basically anoversized shot glass w/ beer. That's totally an UpperMidwest regional offering, don't expect one in Arizona, The Carolinas,etc. In conclusion, AMF southtown, is a decent place to kill time and even retain a certain anonymity. It was my employees and I first time bowling at this location. Kendra helped me to do my reservation and was very good at... communicating information that I asked and making sure the day of our reservation was confirmed. Shawn General Manager, MariahAssistant Manager and Orlando Shift Lead who works onsite at the location, they all were wonderful and did an amazing jobserving my employees and I. We appreciate them so much for everything that they do to make sure we got our food and drinks ontime also for making enough food for my team and I. We just bought two balls from the Pro Shop and Gary and Carl were excellent at giving us the right balls! Thanks so much y'all!... Also we loved the bowling lanes and the old school vibe of this place. Pizza was great, and also we loved the selection of gamesthey had! So much more than most bowling alleys in this area. This is a great old school bowling alley. It's not super over-the-top like a lot of other places are. I love how it's not... pretentious...and...everyone feels welcome there. They have many leagues that play there throughout the week so...it's alwaysbest to call ahead to verify if non-league bowling is available when you want to go. They offer many discount days/times but...aregular game of bowling is $5.19 plus tax. Shoe rental was $5-something plus tax also. They have lots of lanes...and...it's nottypically super busy especially in the daytime through late afternoon hours during the week. I've read that others have hadissues with the scoring system. We've been there many times...never had any issues at all. Besides bowling...they have a littlearea with some arcade/skill games. There are also about four pool tables...and...dart boards. There is a snack bar with a decentamount of options...priced at about what you'd expect for a bowling alley. They do serve alcoholic beverages too. On oneend...is a pro shop to get whatever bowling essentials you may require. The staff is always very nice...and...easy to locatewhen you need them. Each time we've gone...the place has been very clean/well-kept. This is a terrific location...and...we'rethrilled that the Hyvee deal to buy out a large chunk of the strip mall where this bowling alley is [including the bowlingalley]..fell through. the last thing this city needs is: another grocery store! :) This is a place we'll always returnto...and...recommend. Pretty spendy for a bowling alley with no spectator seating. Went there for a jv bowling tournament.
