Carl and Owners were doing their best to keep up with the 1 o'clock rush. Great flavorful food options. This was our first... time here and will return. We noticed that the places we visited we see the different culture expectations and expected levelservice without understanding the queue. Thank you for the love and shared experience that made our food today. Read more

I walked into the place and I knew I'd love it. It had raised carpeted platform with floor seating! Of course that's where we... sat! It made my newly wed wife and I the center of attention! Not only was it a wonder place to relax in, but the food was evenmore superb! The most remarkable part was it was only a husband and wife team cooking. It felt like you were costume cooked foodby a TV professional chef. The best Turkish food I've ever had! It was even inclusive to a randomly proposed toast! It had awonderful atmosphere. Read more

Great food and atmosphere. Walked in with a party of 4 during dinner rush and were able to be seated immediately. There were... tables with chairs and also an area on the ground with tables where customers could eat if they removed their shoes. Thecarpeting and seating area seemed very authentic. We only ordered entrees and they took around 45 minutes to come out. Therestaurant appeared to be understaffed. The food was phenomenal. The staff were friendly and helpful. Entrees are around $15.There are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Read more

First time trying this place. It was better than I expected. I could taste that the chef out his heart into to making the... stuffing in my pides. The pides were just perfectly crispy. Wish the waitress attended us a lot more. I still tipped her for18%. Also this has been a consistent experience for me: as a nonwhite in town, I get attended much much less at restaurants.Should I get used to it?? Read more

We had this to-go, but after seeing the beautiful atmosphere inside I would love to come back to dine in. We tried a few of... their pides (basically Turkish pizzas), which were pretty delicious! Their baklava was the best we have had in a while. The sourcherry drink was very unique and everything came with a few sides (a soup, slaw, and vegetable medley). Read more

Most relaxing restaurant in Bloomington. Turkish black tea is perfect. Lentil soup has good flavor, Pides are freaking... delicious. But the lamb kebabs that?s the best. Very little parking it is best to park on Lincoln street Read more

This was an unexpected find in Bloomington. There was food that I had never heard of and it was delicious. We ordered three... appetizers and one main course and it was plenty of food for three of us (but probably not if we had been college kids!) We didmanage to squeeze in a couple of pieces of baklava as well. We ended up taking another 12 pieces of baklava back to the Airbnbfor dinner! Read more

I have been to Turkuaz Cafe multiple times now and I can confidently say it is one of my favorite places in Bloomington. The... service is fantastic, it all feels very personal. The food is excellent, the best Turkish food in town. For appetizers, I havehad the Baba Ghanoush and Hummus, both were very good but a small portion. They place the dips on each individual piece of pitabread rather than giving you a dip which is odd but the portions on each bread are more than enough. The Baba Ghanoush has a bitof a Smokey flavor but is very good. Many compare the pides to a ?Turkish pizza? and they are exquisite. We enjoyed thePrincessa pide which had ground meat and cheese. The price is good for the amount of food you get. The entrees and the pides allcome with a lentil soup which is spectacular. It is a bit peppery but I enjoy that. My favorite meat to get there is the Lamb. Ihave had both the lamb Sis and lamb Turkuaz kebab which is more like a lamb stew. I enjoyed the Turkuaz kebab (stew) morebecause I mixed it with the rice it came with and it was amazing. For dessert, they have many options but we opted for theBaklava which were quite good. Their Turkish tea is great to finish off the meal. I highly recommend Turkuaz Cafe if you?relooking for delicious Turkish food in the area. Read more
