My wife and I came here for my birthday and after hearing great things were very disappointed. Spent a lot of money and got a... steaks that would have let us down at Outback. Very chewy and flavorless. Took some of mine home and had our babysitter try andshe agreed the steak was very meh. Needed A1 steak sauce. Read more

We had planned on going to our regular restaurant for steak but on our drive to Bloomington I decided to try to find a new place... to go. The menu looked amazing and we were lucky enough to snag a reservation that coincided with our drive time. Definitelymake a reservation if you go! We walked in the door and went straight to our table even though there were people standing allaround the front waiting to be seated. It felt like a smaller restaurant and the tables were close together but that didn’tbother me at all. What did bother me is the person who sat in the booth behind me. Every time they moved it shook the entireseat. It wouldn’t hurt to upgrade the seating to make the dining experience more enjoyable for everyone. We ordered thesirloin for two and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The potato was the perfect accompaniment to the steak. The house ranchsalad dressing was creamy and had a hint of dill sprinkled in. It was all wonderful! The only food that I wasn’t fullyimpressed by were the rolls. They were cold and kind of dry. The butter was too cold to spread over the rolls which they reallyneeded. The service was quick even for a busy Saturday night. Our waitress and the busser were very attentive. Our drinks werekept filled and the dishes were cleared promptly. Overall we were very happy with our dining experience. Will definitely beback! Read more

Our son is a freshman at Kelley, we were looking for places for the next four years! Great place the atmosphere is very casual,... lots of wine and great food. My lamb chops were cooked perfectly medium! We had a cheese platter before an abundant amount ofcheese. We already booked a reservation for drop off in the fall! Read more

Use to frequent this place years back...had been years, so time for return visit. Little to no change that I noticed...The... Meatballs are still the BOMB! Friendly staff! Small dining areas in a run down old building, same same. Steak was Very good, unless you are not a fan of Char-Grilled meat. Salad & Potato good. A little pricey for some, but I like the place overall, andwill be back for more!! Read more

I wanted to love this, but sadly our steaks were really dry. The kids did love their burgers

My friends and I had a good time here I had the Filet Mignon cooked medium. Maybe this cut is hard to cook, the center was very... raw. Not pink, just raw. It was more like a medium rare. The cooked part was good. Maybe next time I'll try something thinner. Read more

This place is a local legend. It already has over 700 reviews, but I did want to share a few thoughts with you all. Every other... time I have been here, I have always gotten steak. This time, however, I had a craving for meatballs, so that is what I got. They were excellent! Definitely spicy. My wife and I were trying to figure out what they used to spice the sauce up. It almosttasted like Tabasco or some other type of hot sauce. Delicious! The entree comes with 14 meatballs. I forgot to take a pic whenour server brought them to us, so there are a few missing in the pic. :-) Servers are very friendly. In spite of us gettingthere after the first wave of dinner customers, we were seated rather quickly without reservations. We went on a Wednesday nightand it was completely full, even with students still not back! The Bakehouse rolls were wonderful and I love how they put alittle char on them on the grill. The salad is a nice blend of greens and I always get the blue cheese dressing. We didn't getany sides or dessert because we are always full. Had plenty to take home to enjoy the next night. They do not have any beer ontap. It is all in bottles and the Upland beers are in cans. I got the Yuengling, which was $5 a bottle. I know I pay a premiumfor alcohol at restaurants, but I must say that the menu items are very reasonably priced, especially considering how much meatcosts in the stores these days. It's always fun to go here and look at all of the IU sports memorabilia on the walls. Itliterally hasn't changed in decades! Very cool. If you are in Bloomington it is worth it for you to check out this localfavorite for sure. Read more
