Delicious ice cream and super friendly people.
Close to our home, so we have always enjoyed walking up the street to get a tasty treat, for the past 9 years! I was... disappointed in service this past week when we went. I realize many of the employees are working for their first time, but whenyou hand someone an ice cream cone, a napkin is a given. I had to ask for one and staff rudely responded- in addition, staff wasvery involved in their own conversations with one another and didn't seemed focused on what they were doing. Great ice cream.Good service.
I ordered a Chicago Hot Dog without onions and relish. I drove five minutes home and the hot dog had onions and relish on it... which is a minor mistake until I noticed after one bite that the hot dog was cold as if it had just been taken out of thefridge. I drove back to Carl?s with the hot dog to explain to them the problem. They gave me a new hot (hot) dog withoutquestion but it was interesting to hear from the employee that this is a common occurrence to receive complaints about cold hotdogs. I have never had problems with Carl?s in the six years I have been going to this place as I enjoy the friendly atmospherewith good food and ice cream but it is definitely a red flag hearing from an employee about the common occurrence of cold hotdogs which can get people sick after consumption. I will definitely never be getting a hot dog from there again and willstrongly consider this restaurant as a whole in the future. Read more

I wasn?t expecting much and my brother and I ordered the ?chunky shake? hoping it would be like a blizzard. Well, the cookie... dough pieces were HUGE, also tasted much better than the average ones you get at smaller ice cream places. They also filled thebottom 50% of our cups, which made it take about 15 minutes for us to finish them. I would never complain about TOO much cookiedough but there was definitely more cookie dough than ice cream. If this is your thing, don?t hesistate to come here. Also aneighboring house across the street was literally jamming really loud 90s music so that took us back to our college days. HA. Read more
