This was my first trying Detroit style pizza, and I absolutely loved it! It’s a deep dish pizza, but it’s more on the... lighter side. The crust had a light crisp and was buttery. I had the eggplant pizza, and it was AMAZING! For appetizer I hadthe cast iron sweet plantains, and that was delicious! They had a whole bunch of unique appetizers that you can’t findanywhere else. I haven't had good Detroit style pizza outside of Detroit. This cured my homesickness in a major way. My husband, a native New... Yorker (and pizza lover) said this was the best pizza that he has ever had. We had a supreme pizza and the meatballs. Both weredelicious. It's a beautiful space with excellent service. I absolutely LOVE this place! I was here yesterday to celebrate my graduation. Lee and Evan were my bartenders and they were... A-Ma-Zing! AC is out in my building so my fiancé and I walked over for some relief. Our bartender, Brett, was ????????????! Heconcocted the mixed drink in the photo. Jamie, the manager, is warm and takes an “all hands on” approach to managing. I havefound my new local watering hole. Food is also amazing. The pizzas are a must try!!! Read more
Yesterday evening was my first experience at Blue Steel Pizza Co. The restaurant has a very cool, lounge like vibe… dimly lit... and with warm decor. Very cool spot for a date, or a chill night out for cocktails and good food with friends. All the staffwere very nice and attentive. cocktails and food were great- definitely a great place to order a bunch of different small platesand pizzas to share . While the area and parking are so so, there is a parking garage across the street and it’s definitelyworth the trip to venture away from Bloomfield Ave Montclair restaurants to this restaurant in Bloomfield. 1st time here. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly service. We tried the Cripsy Cola Wings. All I can say is....WOW. WHAT GREAT... FLAVOR. Just the right amount of sweet and heat. We also ordered a Detroit style pizza, half cheese / half pepperoni. Whichalso has banana peppers on it. The pizza is great. Crispy crust. Tasty toppings. Well cooked.
