completely SURPRISED by the experience owners talk of hospitality and welcoming environment.... not for us. seems everyone... knows each other and the vibe is a bit pretentious. took 20 minutes to have server offer the first drink!!!! then notpermitted to order an appetizer without ordering the full meal?? that's ridiculous, the place isn't Michelin starred.. winkwink. mediocre food at best. bone in veal chop was just ok. the cowboy steak had too much balsamic... not worth it very sadto write this review Read more

What an amazing experience we had at Nova Kitchen. Our party of 4 had dinner there on a busy Friday night. The table was waiting... for us as soon as we arrived. The restaurant is not very big but the table spacing was excellent. We did not feel crowded atall. The room was dimly lit and the general vibe of the restaurant is elevated beyond what you would expect from the shoppingplaza location. Our service throughout the night was top tier. We did not feel rushed but we were very well taken care of. Butthe star of the show was the food. Everything was super fresh, very tasty and fairly priced. RUN, dont walk, to Nova!!! EXCELLENT experience! This is a new restaurant in the area, and they did not disappoint. The... atmosphere is modern yet welcoming. Tables with plenty of space in between so you dont feel crammed in. Definitely a finerdining experience, similar to what you might find in NYC without the astronomical cost, tight spaces or attitudes! Plenty ofparking in the lot. The cocktail menu had a variety of light and fresh drinks, the bar stocked with the gamut of alcohol brandsand price ranges. So many excellent (and healthier!) appetizer and dinner choices. Many grilled, with interesting sauces orchutneys. Portions were plentiful. You absolutely get your money's worth in portion size - but the real winner here is thetaste!!!! Everything is freshly made, high quality from the vegetables to the meat. No shortcuts here. Can we discuss dessert?If you do not try the chocolate chip croissant bread pudding you are missing out. It is creamy and light, just sweet enough,served with vanilla ice cream. Delish! And a perfect ending to a delicious, decadent meal. Staff were very friendly andwelcoming, had great suggestions on dishes and drinks and were very attentive. The owner greeted guests, stopped to speak withregular guests and made the entire experience so awesome. Reservations are recommended, it was very busy - and I can see why! This literal hidden gem tucked in the corner of the shopping center was a great dining experience. The owner is incredibly... attentive. The drink menu was full of artisan mules. We teased with the filet mignon ravioli which was *chefs kiss*. What?s moreis that portion sizes were large enough to fill me up, which is not an easy feat! Nova is hands down my favorite restaurant in Rockland County, and Dinner last night was no exception! The food is absolutely... phenomenal, and the drinks are always on point!
