The food was delicious! We had the enchiladas and the texana quesadilla. Everything was fresh and delicious. Very quick service!... We were there less than 45 minutes, from in the door to out the door. All the wait staff were friendly, if maybe a littlehurried; there were several other families. Will definitely visit again! Nelson's quickly became my wife and I favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The food was great, the portion sizes were... large, and we love being able to sit out on the patio. However, the last couple of trips the food has been subpar. The tasteof the food has been super salty or over seasoned to the point that it just wasn't edible. The portion size has gotten smalleron several dishes. The cheese dip and salsa are very good and probably the best out of the places in the area. I haven't givenup on them yet but I really hope future trips get back to the great food they served when we first started going there. Read more

I love the food here. I love that they have such an amazing vegetarian menu. The food feels healthy but so very delicious, which... is a difficult combo to make. We have gotten the vegetarian enchiladas and tonight we got the Mextil burrito which is chickenand poblano peppers. My husband and I split it. It was amazing, perfect. Well I just got the chili rojo photo below. Newfavorite. By far the best restaurant anywhere around. I?ve almost cleared their entire vegetarian menu with each one being mynew favorite.
