We were quoted 1 hour for bowling. An hour and 20 minutes later we asked how far down the list we were and they said we we at... the top, but there were reservations coming in soon. I asked what that meant and they said, ?you?ll have to wait longer.? Whyquote me an hour if you have reservations booked at that time?! Makes no sense!! This theater has a beautiful setup with a bowling alley and video games. The seating is so comfy and spacious. The only problem... I had was, one, you could smell gas as soon as you walked through the first set of doors and secondly, the bathrooms needed adesperate cleaning, along with maintenance. Bowling is $5 for one game or $40+ for 1 hour... weird offering. Food was decent. Their bar drinks were off. Their sour mix or... something was broken and they felt it was ok to try to serve off tasting drinks. The machine to purchase game cards for thearcade was messed up and they knew it and didn't shut it down to stop people trying to use it and swipe their cards a milliontimes. Very friendly staff, very clean theaters, and COVID precautions in place! So glad they took over and reopened the... theater! Update: Just went to see a movie on the Grand Screen for the first time. It was amazing! All the screens are topnotch, but if there is a movie that you're really excited about and they are offering it on the Grand Screen, see it there! Thefloors were a bit sticky this time around, but otherwise it's usually a very clean place. Update: Sadly each time I return thefacility goes further and further downhill. The staff is really kind, but the floors are always sticky, there wasn't a singlestall in the main women's bathroom that had both a working lock and a purse hook, and my chair was broken when I went to reclineit (felt like I was sitting on a slant!). Our family thoroughly enjoyed our movie at the B&B. It was the first time for us to go. Roanoke doesn't have any movie theaters... with recliners (yet), so we wanted to take the kids for that experience. It was worth the drive. They loved it! I stumbled upon this establishment looking for an early movie. What a spectacular place! We got there right when they opened and... had the whole place to ourselves. Because we were early, the plan was to eat lunch and then see the movie. Not only is the placegorgeous (the bar lights up!) but the food was ridiculously good. I had a caprese salad with a perfect balsamic sauce and somesort of Italian sausage chili - marvelously delicious and cozy on a dreary, rainy day. My friend had a mushroom Swiss burger,which she loved. Imagine our delight when they were delivered in to go boxes we could take into the theater!!!! I'm told you canorder your adult beverages to take to the movie as well. Speaking of, the reclining chairs were oversized, soft and incrediblycomfortable. Service was good, though most workers weren't overly friendly, then again, they were just opening. Plus - there'san IMAX that we didn't get to see. The bowling area looks fun, if I were a bowler, or had the time to enjoy the bar long enoughto think I was a bowler. We definitely plan to come back. Well worth the trip from Roanoke! Read more
