Breakfast before work was a lovely experience. The food was delicious, warm and served with a smile. The seating choices were... nice in that we were able to choose inside or outside tables. Service was prompt and we were offered refills on severaloccasions. The only downside was seeing the exhaust fan and the grease that had dripped down the wall. Read more

We?ve tried to eat here several times in the last two years and been scared of the large crowd. We came in as a party of 10 at... 12:50. They were fast and got our orders correct. The wrap around porch was nice! Everything on the menu is great. Breakfastburrito 10/10, Reuben 10/10, pimento cheese grilled sandwich and tomato soup 10/10, pancakes 10/10, trust me it all good! A wonderful country kitchen with a very open and welcoming vibe. Locals know, so be ready for a bit of a wait, but oh so worth... the wait. Pancakes are fluffy and tasty with a delicious houde-made Vanilla Bean syrup, and the Challah French Toast isnourishing and satisfying. Coffee is bottomless goodness, as well. Dining out on the porch adds an extra level of charm. Read more

Y'all! ???? what a gem! ???? Back Story: We were traveling through NC & wanted to stop for a nice brunch someplace along the... route. We anticipated having to take a detour into Asheville, but instead found Louise's, not only on I-40, but less than a halfmile off the interstate. I wouldn't be surprised if this place had a line around the building 99% of the time, but our servicewas superb! First impressions : Circle the block till you spot someone leaving & steal their parking spot. You order from thehostess stand on the porch, choose your seating & they'll miraculously find ya. The ambiance : we agreed to sit outside sinceit's a beautiful spring easter morning. They offered inside, porch or yard seating. I was a tad chilly in the shade, so when Ispotted a table under the pergola, & jumped on it. I wish I had peaked inside. Drinks : We each had a megamosa. Highlyrecommended. Hubby went traditional with the OJ but I got the mango& pineapple. These came out within a few minutes of ussitting down. Perfect size in a pint mason jar for this occasion. Food : the big boy burrito looked mighty good but I wasfeeling some down home biscuits & gravy. Hubs got the burrito & I wish I had. It was a loaded, hardy breakfast burrito with thebest sausage we've ever had. It was advertised as Chop Shop sausage outta Asheville. The biscuits & gravy left a little top bedesired. The biscuits themselves were incredible, the gravy had a tad too much oregano, maybe, for my taste. It was still adelicious dish, but I wouldn't get it again without a side of sausage to help balance out the seasonings. It was a large helpingwith 2 biscuits & an ample amount of gravy. Worth every star ???????????????????????? Read more

Love this super dog friendly place! Heated and covered patio, great food and amazing service! I got the granola and yogurt bowl... which was delicious. The waitress brought out bacon, a treat, and an ice water bowl for my dog Sadie. I'll definitely be backwhen I'm in the area! Read more

Absolutely amazing Sunday brunch! We arrived just as they opened at 10:00 and still had to wait in line outside for 30 minutes,... so be prepared on chilly mornings. The megamosas are served in mason jars and there are lots of flavors to choose from. Myhusband ordered the biscuits and gravy and I had the Eggs Louise ~ both dishes are wonderful! We will definitely be back thenext time we travel through Black Mountain! Read more

Came for lunch for the first time. To me, the best part of Louise's Kitchen is the old house ambiance. The Tea in Jars is good... too. That's where it ends for me. Service was friendly, but makes you feel rushed. Basically a "What do you want, here it is"experience. I do realize that there's a pandemic, and probably just a Lunch procedure, and I am all for a safer environment forRestaurant Staff. However, ordering at the street before being seated wasn't exactly appealing at all. It was raining and we hadto basically hurry up and pick something without being able to sit down and actually browse the menu. Seating within the insideof house is cramped due to the small rooms, and voices are amplified, so don't expect to have a private conversation. I thoughtthe food would make up for the uncomfortable dining experience...as this being a popular/highly rated place. Sadly, it was justaverage for me. I opted for lunch instead of breakfast. My Philly Cheesteak was unremarkable at best. Reminded me more of a"Steak Um" with peppers. Salad was fresh, but basic. Black Bean Salad tasted like canned black beans served out of the can. Nota great first impression. I have had some great dining experiences in the Black Mountain area. However, L.K. left me feelinglike I just had lunch at the local tourist trap. Read more
