Came into town looking to visit the old Foothills Grange restaurant only to find it was closed while they open this new version... of it. It?s a great outdoor atmosphere, lots of dogs, super casual, and the food was spectacular. They had run out of food andso had to close the kitchen for about an hour while they restocked. The ordering process also seemed a little clumsy, but Ithink these are just kinks they?re working out. Overall it was a great experience with delicious food. Love foothills and have been going for years! This place will eventually be good but they have not figured out the ordering... process and food often takes more than an hour. They have prime real estate in town so tourists FLOCK here. Food is alwaysincredible. Once they figure out a system I'll change to five stars but don't go here if you're hungry. Read more

It is always a delight to visit Foothills Grange. My family's favorite spot! Food and drinks are always delicious. The staff... is super friendly and especially welcoming to my children. The dirt pile and wide open green space make this the perfect spotfor a family outing, relaxing for grown ups and children alike. This is just the type of place we have been wishing for inBlack Mountain and we are so glad Foothills made it a reality! Read more

I love this place. I take food very seriously - I am a licensed clinical nutritionist - and this place has the best gluten free... burgers in the area hands down. My younger daughter and I, who both have gluten allergies, can go and have a meal and feel likenormal people. The staff is always extremely friendly, the food is always good, and the new location has amazing ambiance. Plus,did I mention I can get a glass of wine with my dinner? Win-win. Good selection of beer, not impressed by the food. Burger was $11, cooked with a weight on it until it was so dry and overdone... it was barely chewable. Any number of places in Black Mountain will sell you a really good juicy burger with fresh toppings forabout the same price. They were still working out stuff with point of sale and receipts, I expect that will improve with timeand practice. You have to give them a cell phone number to get your order. It?s a real shame that a handful of non-locals left bad reviews on this place. Foothills has been a staple for good food in town... for a while now. Finally got to eat at the new location last night and their whole setup is really great. Obviously it?s busy asheck around dinner time and takes a while to get your food but it?s worth it. I know the people complaining about the quality ofthe food are full of it because Foothills food is ALWAYS amazing. The whole vibe of the new grange location is amazing, plus allthe drinks you can get and they have a lot of space for kids to run around and play.
