Do you want a personalized small town restaurant with quality food at a reasonable price? Go here! I went here while I was on a... retreat down the road and this chicken sandwich was delicious. There are oil paintings on the walls for sale, a nice bar, outdoor seating, and a welcoming feel. It took me a bit to find parking, but that isn't their fault. Everyone was super sweetand attentive. Thank you all for all that you did for me today! :) Read more

8/17/22 Our server was awesome even though they were short-handed! We had everything on the menu you can think of, Trout, The... grouper Reuben, Pasta dish, Salmon, I had the funky clucker sandwich... If you're smart, You will order the mushrooms off theappetizer menu... Killer mushrooms! In fact, we're thinking about driving back to Black Mountain on Saturday just to get thefried mushrooms.... So that would be six orders of mushrooms and six salads... Read more

Delicious, generous servings. Fried food was very well handled (not just dumped in dirty oil, but really done with skill).... Seasonings were all very nice. Salads were very filling. Menu all looked delicious. Tough to pick! Engaging interior andregional artwork/photographs on the walls. Fun place to be, great value for the price. Smiling and skilled service. Read more

It's a really nice setting but I didn't love my cobb salad. It comes with huge chunks of turkey that are pretty dry and... tasteless. The staff is great and I'd be willing to try it again. Read more

I had the klucking Kylie, new sandwich on the menu with fried chicken, grilled sourdough, honey mustard, and some grilled... onions. This was the right bite of delight I was looking for today. The sourdough was crisped up nice and the chicken was friedto perfection. The outdoor seating is really nice, the staff was all friendly and smiling. Busy but did not feel crowded. Thiswas memorial day weekend so I expected it to busy. Only thing was the Cole slaw was a bit bland, just tasted like Mayo. I prefera little more Zang and tang, added a little salt and peppa and it was better. Read more

Cute restaurant (want to steal ornaments on outside Christmas tree -so cute). Today we had fried green tomatoes for an... appetizer...the potato cake on the bottom stole the show. After that a bowl of chili-not spicy but thick and hearty. Shrimp andgrits-very flavorful (little too salty) was not expecting a grit cake-a bit dry. Backyard garden pasta was tasty. Read more
