I ordered a salad, I received babay carrots, two big slices of tomato, and four one inch pieces of celery. Not the way I would... put together a salad! I ordered the South American Rib Eye Medium with the garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were pretty goodafter adding salt and pepper. The vegetables were amazing! The steak had a real good flavor however it came out Rare and it wastough to cut and even tougher to chew. Not a steak worth the price I paid for it. Read more

Went there for lunch and ordered this amazing pizza off their special menu. It was so good! The crust was the perfect thickness.... Crunchy and chewy at the same time. The toppings were things I wouldn't even think would taste good together but it wasdelicious! Pork belly, beet, Italian sausage plus other things I don't remember anymore. The food is good but not exceptional. Typical dark bar like environment and close quarter dining. The entrance to the place is... barely wide enough for two people to pass each other. Wife had the chicken parm, while I had the roast beef and Swiss wrap. Theywere good but could of been better. We had a side of garlic fries which were (sadly) the high point in taste for ourdinner. Also had a cup of vegetable beef soup, basic taste with little to no added seasonings. The waitress was new but wasfriendly and respectful. All in all I would say that the Walrus is a decent place to eat but not a return trip in the nearfuture. Read more
Had lunch here while visiting my sister and brother-in-law in Bismarck and enjoyed the stop...good food and a good beer... selection. While we found the atmosphere a little dark to our liking (low light levels made reading the menu difficult) thequality and taste of the food was great! The complimentary table bread and butter (see picture) was basic but good. For mylunch, I kept it simple and light...going for the Turkey Sandwich with Pepper Jack cheese (see picture). While the bread wasbasic bakery loaf style, the sandwich was fresh and tasted great! Other than bringing your own light to read the menu (if youare over the age of 50 like us), you will enjoy a stop here - great food and service.
