Happy with my meal, other dishes I tried, and service. I thought everything was good even though I do not have anything else to... compare it to. I had the Kadai Chicken and Malai Kulfi for dessert. I did try the Gulab Jamun as well. I really recommend thatif you must choose between a dessert. Tiktok: @chasaeats Insta: @chasafulkerson Read more

The buffet was not what I normally get at Indian restaurants as I travel. Did not have as many options. Maybe it was just a... bad day but the flavors weren't very rich. Food was very 'runny'. Great service but the food was not what I was led to believefrom other reviews & Indian is one of my favorite foods. Disappointed. Read more

Best hospitality you can find in Birmingham. We had been driving all weekend long. Had a very bad experience at another... restaurant and landed at Taj India. The owners daughter served us, made sure to check on us a few times throughout the meal. Thefood was warm and served without any delay. Not too spicy and not too pricy. Highly recommended if you are looking for greatcustomer services and good food. Read more

First time trying Indian food! We wanted to eat the buffet but didn't realize it was only lunch but I'm glad we still stayed and... the owner helped us order! I'm blissfully full and happy! Food and atmosphere was GREAT! Read more

The buffet is set in a hallway that needs some deep cleaning, better lighting, and a lot more airflow. The signs that provide... the name and brief descriptions of the dishes could use some icons to denote jain, vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as theuse of Gluten and, nuts. I sampled most vegetarian dishes and was .. underwhelmed. The only sauce that was as thick as I likesauce was Saag Paneer that was very acidic, quite spicy and didn't have paneer. The Chana Dal had almost no split chickpeas andwas more of a broth. I had to fish around in the Korma to find vegetables. What I believed to be Pakora were potatoes lightly"breaded" that begged the question if the cook had used the oil for frying chicken before. The Egg pilaf had no egg and insteadof fragrant spices and a nutty Ghee aroma tasted more like fried rice. The onion chutney was too fresh and tasted like rawonion, missing all the deeper flavors, I already forgot the other dishes that I sampled. Maybe you have better luck ordering ala carte but they need to rethink their cost model and reduce the buffet or increase their price to provide the deliciousness Iam always hoping for. Still 3 stars because even mediocre Indian food offers plenty of lacto-vegetarian options and flavor. Read more

I have been eating here since 1996. In all that time, the food quality has been outstanding. The staff are always very friendly... and efficient. The lunch buffet is various and delicious. Yesterday, they had Lobi curry (black-eyed peas), which is my favoritevegetable dish. I have had Indian friends tell me that the food is not all that authentic, but if you don't mindCalifornia-style Indian food, it's the best. Read more

The owners were very nice and kind. They allowed us to sit outside on the patio area with a little dog, as we were traveling and... couldn't leave her in the car. The food was good. The butter chicken was a little spicy for my kids but they added some yogurtsauce to help with the spice. We were glad to stop for a nice meal and would recommend them. Read more
