I ordered my food an hour before picking it up,but yet my order was still all messed up!! First, how you gonna have a gyro salad... with the gyro meat!!?? Then I tried to surprise my Beautiful wife with a strawberry cheesecake but there was nothing!! Come tofind out they was out & the young lady forgot to tell us, which was ok when fixed because she still got her second favorite, thecaramel cake (delicious)!! Then she goes to eat her bacon cheeseburger, really good, except they put pickles that I specificallyasked for not to be put on because she doesn't like hot pickles or the flavor of it on her food!! Three stars bc the food was good, but it's WAY overpriced and the service was slow, both of those factors docking a point a... piece. I paid $12 for a chicken shawarma and a fountain drink. I would have gotten fries as well, but they cost $3.45. Thatwould be excusable if they were made in house from scratch and good, but I saw the cooks in the back dumping plastic freezerbags into the fryer, so I assume they're frozen. The place was pretty dead at noon on a weekday, prime time for people to beeating lunch. I have a feeling this place won't last long. *Pictured is the most expensive shawarma I've ever bought. I?ve been to different Purple Onion locations in the past. THIS AINT IT. My wings tasted like they were thrown straight out the... pack into the grease. Not even a pinch of salt! They were DISGUSTING. My friends crispy chicken wrap was also nasty and had noflavor. The tea was OLD and tasted like boiled corn water. The fries were flavorful and cooked perfectly. But i didn?t payupwards $30 for fries. This place is a scam. We were drunk and it was STILL NASTY i don?t litter but i was so mad I tossed myplate onto the interstate. Love that they have a drive thru! Traveled all the way from homewood, at the time it was too crowded at the po there, passed by... Al's which closed at 11 on a Saturday night, only to pop up/stumble upon while checking out the night life in Lakeview this newbright well lit building. There was only one car in front of us and although they take your order at the window, then assignparking for the lot, that's the best ideal way to work the window. The food was out in record time, about 10/15 (but we didn'tdo a hard count, we sat and enjoyed the live band from the bbq joint across the street) the delivery lady was super cool andsweet and made you feel good about your decision to eat here not to mention the about of food for 18$ matched the price andpresentation, it feed my husband and I and a small chorkie lol if you know anything about a chicken kabob plate it was delicioussmelled amazing and they didnt miss a beat. My husband and I are in town temporarily and good food has been hard to find. We heard about this place through word of mouth..... and might I say this s**t is horrible! The wings were so dry and fries were fried so hard that it made it me just lose myappetite. The caramel cake was even worse. It tasted like it was severely freezer burned ????. I ordered the eight piece breaded wings. Half honey barbecue and the other half cajun ranch. I didn't get either one. They gave... me hot wings and cajun ranch fries as you can see. When I told them about the mistake the cashier took my box to the back, pourbarbecue sauce on my wings, and then refried them...smh So my guess is that I received honey barbecue cajun ranch chicken.
