We went there the other day to celebrate my wife?s best friend?s birthday. Prior to that we have been to this restaurant 5-6... times including the old location and we had pretty bad experiences including we didn?t get our appetizers until an hour after weordered and didn?t receive main dishes until 2&1/2 hours after we ordered them. And this was way before COVID so I know theyhad plenty of staff. This time, the service was good - all the dishes came out in timely manner. And the food was good asalways - not sure it?s worth the price they charge but it is not bad at all. I had scallops with assorted vegetables on bed ofrisotto. I like my risotto aldente but it was bit undercooked - had hard core to it. And we ordered all the appetizers thatthey had on menu and there are some dishes that were really good. Went to Hot and Hot fish last night and enjoyed several dishes from the menu. It was a very interesting combination of flavors.... The biscuits with basil butter are to die for! They are a perfect combination of nice and crispy on the outside with apillow-flaky inside. Definitely recommend to get one for the table. I ordered the seafood pasta and the scallop on it wascooked to perfection. It was a black ink pasta which was interesting to see since it wasn?t specified. I would say they dishcould have used a bit more salt, maybe an extra pinch or two. Nice combination of flavors. The tomato salad was good but not myfavorite. If you like cocktails, the Corner of Havana and Torino was very good. The Gold rush could have used a bit morebourbon and less lemon juice. Overall we had a very good experience, our server was attentive and knowledgeable and the foodcame out in a timely manner. Dining time from being seated to check out 1h40. Wow! Dinner at Hot and Hot was amazing from start to finish. They had great drink options and the cocktails were perfectly made.... The appetizers were wonderful, especially the tomato salad. I had trigger fish for my entree, served with jumbo asparagus andblueberry panna cotta for dessert. It was a bit of a splurge but worth every penny with impeccable service and innovativeflavors.
