Attended a private gathering for brunch recently. First, we had to ask the staff to sweep the floor and clean the tables.... Something that should have been done prior to our arrival as the area was specifically reserved for this gathering. Second, thecost for brunch in comparison to the amount of choices available is far too expensive. And the items to choose from were notbrunch items, at least not all of them. It was more of a mix between breakfast and dinner. Some items were cold to include thecoffee served a few of us. The atmosphere is beautiful.....honestly the only reason I give 3 stars. Great atmosphere, good food. I ate there for brunch. The only issue was they kept reminding me of the bunch buffet price. Once... upon making the reservation, again upon arrival, and a third time after being seated. I was taking friends out and didn?tparticularly want them to know the pricing. Read more
Didn't mention online it was an all you can eat buffet for $59.00. We got our food, which was not of any great quality. I'm... guessing the price was to accommodate all the options. After sitting for about 10-15 minutes, the waitress comes and says we areabout the close the food bar down in 2 minutes! Had we known that we didn't have time to eat we wouldn't have eaten there.Broken Glass all over the floor, waitress never cleared the table or offered any refills on water. Couldn?t have spent a rainy Resurrection Sunday any better than this. As it was my first time, I was so surprised by the decor... and vibe of this place. I mean I didn?t think Bham had so much style. The food was delicious! My favorite was the short ribs andwaffles. Ahh ???? if I could have that as I?m typing this that would be amazing. Bourbon Apple Cider: the bourbon was strong. It definitely went down smooth with it warmed up. Stuffed quail with cornbread... Stuffing and Bourbon Pecan Agrodolce, it was delicious. The sauce complemented the savory quail and the stuffingperfectly. Braised short rib with wild Mushroom Risotto, Fried Onion, and Gremolata. The braised short rib was cooked perfectlytender and easily pulled apart. The risotto was flavorful, but undercooked. The server helped me to returned the risotto, keptthe short rib. When the server returned, she informed me that the chef insisted on giving me a whole new serving of the braisedshort rib and risotto. I greatly appreciated the gesture. The risotto was better, but there were still some undercooked grainsof rice. 8OZ Black angus filet with loaded Potato Gratin, Brussels Leafs, Wild Mushrooms, and an Au Poivre Vert. It was a greatquality cut. My friend ordered it medium, but it was cooked rare. I helped eating it since I didn?t mind it being rare. Overall,the dish was salty, especially on the Brussels leafs and the wild mushroom. Definitely need to hold back on the salt. Cranberrybread pudding with strawberry ice cream with good. There is room for improvement on the food. The service was wonderful and thedecor was great. I will give this place another try. Read more
Wow! Dined here Saturday evening and brunch Sunday morning. Saturday evening Truffle Oysters were scrumptious as was the... corn-dog style Conecuh Sausage (a smoked sausage from Alabama.) The atmosphere was nice, the food was good, but not great. We got there and had to search for a host or hostess. Got to the... table and our waiter came. He was kind of over it by the time he got to us. Wasn't rude or ugly, but you could tell he was justtired of it and had a slight attitude. The grilled octopus was divine and the duck was good. I had to add salt to the duckthough. My friend ordered the crab cakes and we never got them. He forgot to put them in. It took awhile to get our food and inbetween time we didn't see our server that much. The very first thing we ordered were drinks because it was my birthday and wewere there for a fabulous dinner. Got the drinks and it was done incorrectly and had to send it back. I don't like being a painand sending things back, but I just couldn't handle that. I was trying a new place and it was just sub-par for the prices. WhenI pay that amount of money for food I expect it to be the best thing I have ever eating and it was not. I wish I could've toldthem the way I wanted my duck cooked, but alas I got a medium well duck. ???? At least the flavor on the duck was good. What an amazing area! It's an amazing spot, it's on the top story, and you can sit at the bar, there's tables inside, but also,... there is a large area outside, on the rooftop, with fire pits. It's a romantic setting with plenty of tables for privacy. Pricesreflect the area in which this restaurant is located. VERY UPSCALE! NOT ADVISED TO WEAR JEANS ... Such a beautiful area. Everyaspect of the restaurant, from the bar, to the rooftop, to the lobby on the first floor, to the parking lot, everything wasclean & well kept. Read more
