Ordered one box and one sandwich. Said they couldn't make the sandwich, which is LITERALLY the SAME chicken fingers from box... thrown ontop of a bun! So, ordered 2boxes instead (over a $5 diff from box vs bun) .Tried to pay with EXACT cash at window butwas informed that they couldn't accept anything but a card! Not even EXACT cash! I understand it was a little over 30 minuteswhen they closed but that's just ridiculously LAZY, if you ask me! They could've mentioned this all to begin with, at the orderspeaker and saved us both time and me a headache!!! So, I turned right around and drove to the Zaxbys, that I originally passedby to specifically go to Guthrie's. And, GUESS WHAT?!?! Zaxbys GLADLY made my sandwich and HAPPILY accepted the CASH I paidwith! AND GAVE ME CHANGE! Gonna save myself the UTurn and just go to Zaxbys from now on!!! Read more
The food is good,but they are stingy with the slaw and drink. Slaw is served in a small dipping cup, drinks are too packed with... ice, so you get very little to drink. Read more

I have always used liked this location but will never go there again! I had an issue with my meal a week ago and called the... store to let them know. The shift manager stated to come back by at my convenience and the meal would be replaced. Went by onyesterday and stated to the young lady the particulars. She decided that all I would get would be fries. I stated to her withwhom I had spoken to and she responded "she didn't care who I had spoken too all I would be getting is fries". Young lady had avery nasty attitude and I will never frequent that location again! Read more

While I will always defend Guthrie's quality and flavor, the gut boxes me and my crew had this past Saturday were disappointing... and flat out unacceptable. The fingers couldn't have been more than 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. To make matters worse theywere dry and tore the roof of the mouth of everyone in the room. I even set aside the sorriest fry in the box for a comparison(see picture below). The Bham community deserves better and I know that Guthrie's is up to the task. The history of the gut boxneeds to be restored or we will have no other choice but to go across the street to Zaxby's, and that's not something we want todo. I will give Guthrie's its well deserved 5th star when we get respectable sized chicken fingers back. Until next time, Godbless. Read more
I had a taste for Guthrie?s chicken so I got in my car and went through the drive through. The service was quick and the cashier... was very professional, polite,and had the most bright and beautiful smile, especially when I gave her a $5.00 tip. She evenasked me was it for her? I laughed and stated ?Yes?! Of course it?s for you. She then told me that management tells them thatthey must ask. I laughed a little more and got my food I ordered. The chicken strips were so tender, fresh, crispy and juicy,and when I dipped it in their special sauce ????????????! I couldn?t wait to dip some more strips. The French fries were long,crispy, and good too. My garlic bread was a nice size and the Cole slaw ????????????was sooo good. Their Cole slaw is the bestI?ve had so far. Therefore, if you want to get real good 5 piece chicken strips dinner then Guthrie?s is where you want to go.Don?t forget to buy another sauce so you can enjoy more.
