We were very surprised by Stoppers. We were camping at French Creek and needed a place to eat while it was raining. The food was... amazing. Get the crab imperial it was outstanding. We are going to make this a regular stop during camping season. Read more
Staff is friendly and very attentive. Food was very good. Our waitress knew the menu well and was awesome to help my daughter... avoid the tomatoes in her meal to make it exactly what she was expecting. Great seafood. Lobster is good and the crab bisque was fantastic. The staff are attentive and the food was served hot and... timely. Only issue - There is an odor of smoke typical for a bar when you walk in which is a bit of a put off but thankfullyit was less in the dining room. I suspect smoking is allowed at the bar and one must pass through the bar to enter/exit oraccess restrooms. The HVAC system probably also blows the smoke around when it?s busy but fortunately the bar was not busy atall when we went. Could use a makeover inside as it?s all a bit dated but then again I guess that?s the look they?re going for. It?s been around since the early 80s and for the most part it looks pretty unchanged since it opened from what I can see. Read more
I finally after many years had dinner & cocktails at STOPPERS!! I sat at the bar and was served by Josh the bartender. Extremely... nice guy & could carry a conversation. Steamed clams were hot & delicious! I ordered a NY Strip med rare which was on point!!Can?t wait to go back !! Thank you ???? Read more
JP, the barkeeper, was especially pleasant. The food arrived earlier then expected... The coconut shrimp was very good! I get... like John Candy in the Great Outdoors movie when considering my choice to dine on the 1.5 pound steak. Convenient location fora stop while leaving town...for sure. Read more
Well the place was decorated cool. The staff was friendly. The stuffed mushrooms were good. The coconut shrimp was good.... However the sirloin tips were kinda bland, definitely needed steak sauce.. The loaded potato was not only kinda small but notvery loaded. Although it was nice to give me a small salad, it only consisted of a little romaine, 1slice of tomato and 5croutons. I should have just gotten the ceaser. It was also pretty dead. All in all it was cool. Read more
