Ordered take out because I wanted to go eat at the park! 2 meals and a side of rice n beans! You?d think they?d included proper... silver ware n napkins! So I didn?t mind checking it?s take out!!! Get to were im going to eat sit down and no got damn utensilsor napkins ! 1 Ordered a burrito but it was like a big taco not even wrapped ! Shouldve just went to chipotle for a niceburrito! And half the price with bigger portions! Asked for hot sauce for the 2 meals guy gave us 2 tiny hot sauce packets. 2stars! Would?ve been better off going to hacienda or Los tapitios! Smh Read more

This is one of the best and most reasonably priced Mexican restaurants in town. They have a very diverse menu selection of beef,... pork, seafood, and chicken as well as multiple vegetarian options. We had la Bandera wasn't busy. So it was quite for once since it's all open. Service was quick till after we got our food. Then... no one came to ask if we needed anything else. Would have been good to have a drink refill. Read more
Great experience! Kind and helpful staff. Food came quick and it was delicious. The Pulpo Burrito was the recommendation and i... took it, saucy and tasty. Fork and knife situation. Got to try 6 different hot sauces, (tapatio was my favorite in the end,complex flavor). And free chips while you wait (smelled like the oven but that?s ok). Iced beer glass, bachata. Our first time there, I read all these great reviews but we were both very disappointed. We went for lunch. First, upon... entering, the windows were so filthy that it made me wonder how clean everything else was. Appearance means alot. I thoughtwell maybe the food will be good but no it wasn't. The chips and salsa were brought out first and that was good. I asked forbean dip and they brought out a plate of runny refried beans, literally a thin layer on the plate. This is not bean dip to mebut we ate it, it was OK. I ordered a taco with carnita meat, it was flavorless and dry along with an enchilada which was thesame. My boyfriend ordered a burrito that had burger and onions in it, a taco that was the same also flavorless. It was verygeneric and blah. I ordered a water and he had a soda, the bill was $33. I didn't realize the skimpy plate of beans (beandip?) was $7 and a side of sour cream was $2.50. The total amount was way too much for a lunch that wasn't even mediocre. Ihave no complaints on the service we got, our waitress was nice and attentive, but that wasn't enough for us to ever go back. As I write this, my stomach isn't settling well either.
