Dined in on a Saturday evening and it was pretty packed. There was an hour wait and they give you 7 minutes to claim your table... once called. The drinks were ok but the food portions were slightly more than what you could finish. Each entree we received washot and fresh. The Reef probably has the best Shrimp and Grits I?ve ever had. I was very unsure about order the Swam Island Shrimp & Grits... because of the appears of grit cakes in the description. I walked out of faith and tried it anyway. The flavor of this dishblow my mind! I have to have it again and soon. I also had oysters and alligator bites as an appetizer. As you can imagine,the Swam Island Shrimp & Grits stole the show. The reef also has a gift shop with souvenirs, t-shirts, ice cream, and a lotmore. We wanted to try a good seafood restaurant and we were not disappointed. Tried the crab dip, seafood platter and oysters.... Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted scrumptious. Prices are reasonable for fresh seafood. Service was good and staff werefriendly. If you're looking for fresh seafood at a great venue overlooking the beach and sea, look no further. Read more

I ordered Salmon -well done, but the center was rare. The flavor was very good. The two others at my table were somewhat... satisfied with Shrimp & Chicken salad (3/5) and the chicken Alfredo was good, maybe a 4/5 rating. For the price I probablywouldn?t return, consistency should be expected at this price. Most importantly, the atmosphere seemed somber. Almost like thestaff were mourning something that had happened. I didn?t ask or pry, maybe they were just unhappy to be working on a holiday(Memorial Day). It wasn?t just 1 or 2 people. We noticed as we looked around the restaurant?from the greeter to the servers towhat appeared to be a manager?everyone looked somber. Of course I didn?t complain as I was able to eat 75% of my salmon. Westill tipped as usual. Nobody was rude and we didn?t feel neglected. Absolutely delicious!!! I find they had a little too much black pepper in the sauce on the crawfish bread but that's just a... preference issue not a restaurant issue. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. We ordered way too much food so we haveleftovers for a couple more meals. As the cook in the house, that doesn't seem so bad to me!!! LOL Read more
great experience! food quality and overall experience and the price are beyond our expectation! not to mention it has such great... view even on a bad weather day! the restaurant has its patio covered up with heavy film which isolated the outdoor dining hallfrom heavy rain and wind, along with the heater on roof make the environment very cozy. First time trying this restaurant. We went to the roof top. Weather was gorgeous with cool breeze and sitting in the open area... felt very nice. My son ordered a shrimp pasta and I had grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Chicken on my sandwich was so smallthat I had to get rid of pretty much all of my bread. Food was priced reasonably though. Will definitely return. Read more
