A great restaurant for famous southern foods! We had an assortment of things to try, and loved all of them. It was a bit heavy... on the salt, but still really good. The best part of our dining experience was our server Christy who was delightful. She tookcare of all of our needs, and really made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was fun and inviting and matched the food. We'lldefinitely be back! Read more

The customer service here was like coming to a family member's house. The hostess/waitress was super friendly, and so was the... owner. This place is super small, so if there is no space for you inside you can eat outside unless it's raining. Also, parkingis extremely limited, so in most cases ordering to go is going to be your best bet. I ended up ordering the Catfish Parrainafter asking the Hostess "What's good". She said, of course, everything but then she ended up going with the night's specialwhich was about $24. Now I wasn't expecting to order something so expensive, but she convinced me by telling me that you getyour money's worth in Catfish and Crawfish Etouffee. So I ordered the special. The place was packed, but that wasn't hard sincethe place is very small inside. They lady apologized for the inconvenience and offered me to sit outside and that she wouldbring me my drink. Long story short, some people left, and I got a spot inside. After waiting about 20 minutes for my order, Ireceived my basic salad with ranch. I didn't mind the simple salad since I didn't come here to eat salad and it was fine. Once Igot the dish I was impressed by how much Ettoufee was on the plate and how large the plate was. She was right, you will get yourmoney's worth. The Crawfish was cooked perfectly and breaded just right. It was soft and flaky and just perfect. The rice wassoft and nicely cooked, a little mushy but fine. The Etouffee and the sausage were really the problems in this dish. TheEtouffee was just salty, and I had to drink my water with every bite. Then the sausage bits looked overcooked or dried out. Kindof like beef jerky. The sausage tasted fine, but it had its dry moments. The overall flavor was there but for $24 I wanted thisdish to be perfect at every bite. It had some crawfish pieces, I know I found about two, but I didn't see a lot. The customerservice is 5 stars and I'm sure their fish and chips are also, but I had their special this time, and it Read more

If you have not been, then go! You don?t know what you?ve beenmissing! See pictures below. Forgive the empty bowl. That was White Chocolate Bread Pudding and that joker was gone faster thanI could grab a picture! Read more

HANDS DOWN THE BEST FOOD YOU?LL EAT in town! And that is not an exaggeration! We are foodies from Atlanta and this home cooking... will be hard to beat - the flavors are explosive! Come here on DAY ONE of your trip and every day after to try everything on themenu. That?s our plan. And then, get some to take home with you! I came for the chicken & sausage jambalaya, however the servertalked me into their specialty of The Cheesesteak Po? Boy. I don?t even like cheesesteak, and it has some bell peppers on it,but I could tell I could trust her suggestion. She said the bread is fried and no one does it like this. It was out of thisworld. Even the fries were delicious and melt in my mouth. I didn?t need any ketchup for the fries, and coming from a sauceaddict, that says a lot! My man had the Catfish Parrain dinner special. It is jambalaya with two filets of fried catfish andpoured over with crawfish etouffe. It was the perfect blend of all the flavors and bites he was looking for. He doesn?t likesuper spicy and said it?s the perfect kick of flavor! This place is currently a hidden gem on online reviews because theyopened during the pandemic. They make everything fresh to order and use high quality ingredients. Don?t look at the menu prices- it is affordable (don?t worry) but I would pay double for this quality and flavor! Every dish has a family story! The pecanpie was made special and beat with a meat tenderizer to make the pecans real fine for Marlen?s grandfather who didn?t have teethto chew the pecans and it?s on a graham cracker crust. And they use pharmaceutical grade vanilla in it for its purity. It seatsabout 20 inside and it?s a nice, cozy vibe. The patio seats more. And BYOB. Marlen?s, the owner, is a local and is one of thekindest guys you?ll meet. Michelle Ann is a great and personable server with a lifelong history in the restaurant business andit shows. Do they sound like family? They felt like it. Don?t miss this place. Read more

Truly incredible. The food was some of the best I?ve ever tasted, flavorful and rich. The owner Marlin was there and told us the... stories behind the dishes we were eating and had great recommendations (if you go GET THE BREAD PUDDING!!). We are on our secondout of a four day stay and are already planning on going back again before we leave. Would not be surprised if this was on aFood Network show at some point. It deserves to be.
