It was amazing. Got there on time for buy 1drink get 1 free and also on appetizers. Had the gyro tacos, delicious and shrimp... cocktail. Others had the fajitas, chicken Parm, spaghetti and meatballs, the grilled shrimp with asparagus, and Cobb salad andhuckleberry salad. Drinks were Mai Tai, mules, margarita and huckleberry colada and lemon drop. All was so delicious. Platesare huge, plenty of leftovers. Read more
Great food and good service. Calamari was cooked well and not chewy. The halibut Hemingway was fantastic.
The menu looked awesome, but food was overcooked and service was below subpar! The food tasted okay, and I wasn't really... displeased with it, but the service when our original waiter left was pretty much nonexistent! Our drinks stayed empty afterour first round and it took forever to ask us if we wanted refills, which we ordered but cashed out before they arrived afterwaiting n g almost 10 minutes! Read more
Normally I wouldn't write this long of a review but I feel this particular experience warrants it. We went to the Montana club... to celebrate a Birthday dinner recently. We ordered an appetizer and three entrees. Shortly thereafter we notified the waitressof the birthday since they offer a discount for the person celebrating a birthday. We were assured that the appropriate discountwould be applied to their meal. Our side salads and appetizer came first and overall were decent. We had ordered the BBQ chickenflatbread as the appetizer and it was decent overall, it really didn't have a strong flavor and was a little bland but quiteedible. I'd like to say I tried all three dishes and agree with my companions' opinions. These entrees on the other hand weremostly horrid. This first one was a chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and bacon gravy. Where to start, the mashedpotatoes tasted very very strongly of garlic and were burnt. The chicken fried steak was just over the edge of burnt and thegravy was disgusting. The next dish was the philly cheese steak with fries and it was awful. First and foremost the phillycaused a minor allergic reaction for the recipient. She has a few food allergies including mustard which is her best guess as towhat caused it. She tries to be very careful about what she orders because of these allergies and from the description felt thePhilly cheese steak was safe. Anyhow, the sandwich was super soggy on the bottom and covered in mozzarella and queso cheese. Thequeso had a very odd flavor and was probably the source of the allergic reaction. Then the fries that came with the phillycheese steak were room temperature, seasoned with something like a taco seasoning that was still bland. I love to try new restaurants everytime I go to billings. So I ordered the bison steak and it came out the most bland steak I've... ever had. As well as 1 piece of lettuce for a garnish. I would have complained to the waitress if she ever came and helped usmore than 1x and then brought us the check. My wife and I are the ones to tip over 20% of our bill so we respect goodservice. Update - 2nd visit- Because of timing we decided to get our diner to go so we called in a pickup order. Extremely disappointing.... The young fellow taking the order was just as disappointing as the food. I ordered a fillet with grilled shrimp, when I gotthere to pick it up it was a fillet with fried shrimp. Then they tried to convince me that they were grilled, yet they were infact coconut shrimp, which are fried. The other steaks were filled with fat and had no seasoning at all. All of the food wascold and we live less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. The scallops were unseasoned and unfortunately the best part of ourmeal were the cold french fries. Based on our extreme disappointment, we are not sure if or when we will go back. My previousreview of the Montana club restaurant was a five star review. Could not have asked for better food or service at that time.Unfortunately I am not sure what happened during this trip, but management surely needs to evaluate what they?ve got going on atthe pick up order desk and in the kitchen. We had Hoagieville Cheese Fries and they were amazing! I had the Clam Chowder and it was delicious ???? I got the Garlic Button... Mushroom Steak. It was under cooked but they refired it to perfetion and all was good. Larry got the Royal New York that hadreally good flavoring, but a little too much fat. We ordered nachos, steak and salmon, and chicken carbonara pasta. The portion of nachos was awesome. But they tasted like the... chef added a whole bottle of cumin on them. We couldn?t even eat them. My husbands steak and salmon had so much garlic it wasimpossible to enjoy it. My chicken carbonara was so bland it was awful. We tried to talk to the server but she just brushed itoff.
