Incredible dining experience. They only seat eight at a time and we spent almost three hours enjoying incredibly fresh and... thoughtful servings. The chef and host know their sushi and sake. The fish often comes from the CA Central Coast. This isomakase, not sushi rolls, so if you?re looking for regular sushi, go elsewhere. The cost is worth it for a one or a kindexperience. Know that if you?re staying in Big Sur, it will take an hour to get to Treebones and there?s no cell receptionSouth of Big Sur, so be prepared. We left with two new friends from our dinner! Great spot to eat fresh omakase. It?s a lot of food and we?ll worth it if you love sushi and all seafood.

It can be mesmerizing to dine on the patio, high above Pacific and the Star Route in this magical place. Of course, the food is... tasty, the staff is lovely, and the service is very good. But the setting... The setting is something else! Read more

Hands down one of the most beautiful and delicious dinners I have ever experienced. My girlfriend and I were staying at Lucia... Lodge about 12 miles up the road and we were not impressed with their dinner menu they had up there so we decided to look forthe closest restaurant and this was the spot. We knew the views were going to be pretty good but we didn?t expect it to beabsolutely breathtaking from where we were going to enjoy our meal. We ordered our drinks and appetizers and just sat in ourchairs admiring the view and taking in all the calmness and ocean air. It was indescribable how beautiful this viewwas. Thinking since there were only a handful of restaurants in a 30 mile radius, we didn?t have high expectations for thefood. We were absolutely floored very quickly by how great the apps were. Presentation and flavor, the thai green chili porkribs and the dairy-free clam chowder deserve some awards. The meat on the ribs easily came off the bones and the green saucewas exploding with delicious flavor. The dairy-free clam chowder was just as good if not better than regular clam chowder. Ihave no idea how they were able to make a dish predominantly heavy on cream into something dairy-free while still keeping theflavor top notch, but they did it. After our apps, we were so excited to try our main courses. My girlfriend got the lobsterMac n cheese while I ordered the burger and added bacon & avocado. When the Mac n cheese came out, we were both amazed by thepresentation of the dish. It came in a skillet and topped with some little flowers. It looked amazing. She dug into it andrealized that they also did not skimp on the lobster. You definitely get what you pay for here. It was so rich andcreamy. When my burger came out, my mouth was absolutely watering. Again, presentation on point. Taking that first bite ofthe burger made me realize I was enjoying the best burger I?ve ever had in my entire life. The meat was so tender and juicy, t Read more

This is for the omakase sushi (not the general lodge dining area). What an amazing meal! Great views with perfectly curated and... extremely fresh fish. $90 for about 15 courses. Such a great deal! Reservations are a must - and hard to come by. Definitely notone to miss!! Read more

Food was decent and reasonably priced considering the location. Staff was super friendly, even suggesting places to stop along... HWY 1 and the view was amazing! Will definitely stop back again. Read more

Nice people and atmosphere but the food was very bland and waaaay overpriced. Got Flatbread that didn't have taste. My daughter... ordered the Green Noodles off the kids menu and I ordered the vegan kale noodles and they were literally the same dish, both hadalmost zero seasoning. Read more

The food is ok, nothing special really. I wish we had gone some place else as this place just didn't feel right - the only... positive is the view of the Pacific. Spending $50 on a lunch for two was not enough of a reason for the staff to share the wifipassword with us, just to check email. Overall disappointing and I would not recommend. Read more
