Carlos was the only Mexican restaurant open on Monday, and we were staying in Big Spring Texas overnight (keep going). It was a... quaint establishment, tiny bar where you can overhear the bartender talking to customers. We ordered a taco salad. Like a tacotime salad but in a nice porcelain bowl. My margarita was just so so. I can get a margarita in a can with about as much alcoholand taste. The guacamole seemed bland and maybe store bought? I decided to try something new today so I order lunch from Carlos's. I ordered the fajitas beef and chicken with rice and beans.... I eat Mexican food often so I'm no stranger to how it should taste or be prepared. Right off the chicken was noticeably notfresh and very chewy with zero moisture. To me that means it wasn't even cooked the same day. Its a very noticeable thing whenyou see food that possibly isn't fresh or worst not even cooked that same day. Same thing for the beef which was very chewy andhad a rubbery texture to it. The only things I could stomach eat-able was the rice which was also not fresh Due to the hard ricegrains in it and the beans. Atleast the sweet tea was pretty good. I did try calling the restaurant to complain and tell thempersonally that the food was trash and they shouldn't be serving that old chicken because it can make someone sick, but I got noanswer. If they are too busy to answer the phone, maybe they will see this review and step it up in the kitchen. This is a BigSpring, TX restaurant so I doubt this review will make a dent due to the very small selection of places to eat and get a hotmeal in this town. Won't be here again. Read more
Omg, all I can say is very delicious authentic food I have had in a long time. We made a great decision on choosing this... restaurant. I was very pleased order was right fresh and hot service was good as well. Love the bar and it was a niceenvironment indeed. Read more

I order the Fajita plate and it had no flavor. My husband had the Tacos la Carbon plate and the samething no flavor. The jar salsa should had been the first hint that food would not be good at all.
