Wow- this place is amazing. We stopped for lunch and were so happy we did. The food was delicious and my fried chicken sandwich... was the best I have ever had. My husband had the roasted beet and trout salad. The ambiance is lovely, and we will definitelylook into staying at the Lone Mountain Ranch on our next visit. Karen, our waitress, was very attentive, and John Allen, theranch ambassador, was charming and a delight to talk to. Worth a visit for sure! Read more

Delightful food and ambiance. Our server - Joel, I think - was fantastic. Bar staff was pretty rude. Overall a great meal. We... ordered the tomahawk, some elk meat balls, white fish dip, and two other bison steaks. The meal came out hot anddelicious. Dessert was OK, nothing crazy. Read more

Situated within the Lone Mountain Ranch lies the "hidden" gem of Big Sky. The hunting cabin atmosphere marries perfectly with... the forest & mountains surrounding it. The Saloon is the place to be though. The one-man-guitarist belting original folk music, the well-curated wines from around the globe, the perfectly executed cocktails, and the lovely fires all around, makes you feeldownright cozy. Belly up to the bar for a full-service, first class experience from veteran & master mixologist Scott & partnerin crime (my apologies, but I have forgotten his name, but he's from Minnesota). Both provided outstanding service. H&C serveslocally sourced steaks that will be the pinnacle of your evening. Hands down the best New York strip I have ever had. Top 5steak of all-time. Don't forget the smoked bone marrow butter! Next visit I will be ordering the tomahawk ribeye. I feel likethis is the quintessential Montana dining experience. After a couple of hours, take a walk around the ranch, enjoy the sounds ofthe rushing river, & the great outdoors Montana is so well-known for. I could say so much more, but I prefer not to write abook. I hope to make it back to Montana just to visit this ranch & restaurant again! Read more

Enjoyed the snow at The Horn and Cantle . The food is very average but not bad per say . Just average meat and potatoes. The... bison tartar was good . The flat streak I had with traffle fries was lacking flavor . But I like the fact that it felt veryMontana. Just not great food . But not horrible! Read more
