Reviews for Big Pine Rooster in Big Pine Key, FL
Great little place on Highway 1 in Big Pine. Comfy decor and seating inside and out. The Calamari appetizer was fantastic! I had... the Mahi Reuben (which I was nervous about ordering) and it was so good. My BF had the Cuban Burger. Great touch with the 3large tv screens looping lots of funny and interesting content (boat fails, Cuban cooking show, diving with sharks?). There arenot a lot of restaurants on Big Pine, but this one fits the bill Read more

Food And Service was great. I have never been here before, and food was quite impressive. Clean, and decorated very well. ... Reasonably priced. Just had one question.... It's called Big Pine Rooster, but the initials on the signage have BTR, whichshould be BPR. Mystery is everywhere. Read more

What a fun family-friendly restaurant! We loved the benches with pillows- so comfy! And the food was excellent we had the... yellowfin grilled and blackened, both were delicious! Key Lime Pie was tasty too! Our server Bobby was so nice, he was workingso hard as one of only 2 servers working the whole restaurant but he was always smiling and took a few minutes to chat. Would gohere again! Read more
I wish you could rate this place a zero it?s not even worth a one star. We waited an hour and a half for our food. This is the... worst restaurant I have ever been to. The coffee and the waitress were the only redeemable qualities about this place. Therewere shells in our eggs. The biscuits and gravy looked like dog food and the food was bland. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME HERE Read more
We ate here first day on pine key. I would give it actually 3 1/2 stars. Our waitress seemed to have difficulty communicating... and understanding us. My husband wanted a drink and she said , no alcohol. Then I watched another waitress bring beers to hertables, so asked again. Finally realized she meant no hard liquor, bit she didn't have the vocabulary. I got the lobster ongreens and it didn't taste like lobster more like shredded crab. I had to pay extra for the "greens" instead of bread and nojoke like 4 lettuce leaves and a couple of slices of cucumber. No salad dressing, butter, or lemons. And it was market price. Myhusband had conch fritters deep fried that he liked alot. The customers were super friendly. Everything took a long time whichI've come to expect down here. But the waitress was giving out free drinks to the table next to us because it took apparentlylonger than usual. It's expensive but a nice place. I would try it again maybe an off day. Read more
