Walking down the street trying to decide where to eat for lunch was a challenge....everything smelled incredible! We finally... gave in to the delicious scent of BBQ, in part because we had been back in the area for almost a year after living in Tennesseeand definitely missed that goodness. ???????? The whole menu looked great so we took a few minutes to decide. We finallysettled on Mac & Cheese with Brisket and a BBQ Smash Burger with Cheese Curds. Ended up sharing both and all of it was supergood! To drink we went with Cali Breeze Blood Orange beers - a perfect choice for sure - sooo yummy! ???????????? The serverswere all very friendly and the outdoor seating was comfortably spaced. Plus an adorable great dane sitting with the family nextto us stole my heart, haha. ????????? Pulled pork sandwich has a super delicious mixture of coleslaw and pickles that go great with the BBQ sauce they use! I... recommend the beer battered fries or the cornbread on the side if you?re feeling super hungry as it?s very filling. Service wasgreat considering the business is under new management/ownership and has only been open for a little bit over a week. The foodtook a little longer than expected but I could tell everyone is learning the menu so it?s not something I?m disappointed by atall when the attitude of the serves is so good! They have recently added beer and wine to the menu which is a huge plus also! Idefinitely recommend this place for casual fare and anyone wanting some good BBQ, Big Bear was missing something like this I?mglad it?s back and will be coming here and leaving sleepy and full a few times a week. This place was awful! They don?t serve alcohol. Took forever for our food. When it did come it was dry and over salty(ribs) and... my husband got a small amount of dry brisket for $20. I didn?t eat my ribs, told the waiter what was wrong with them and hestill charged us. Total waste of a date night. Read more
We got to the restaurant close to closing around 7:30. They closed at 8. Our server was very nice and polite. Although our first... choice of meats such as ribs and bbq chicken were no longer being served for the day, we enjoyed their brisket and pulled pork.My 3 kids ordered mac n cheese with fries. When our order came out, they told us they only had enough for one serving of mac ncheese. We divided the bowl into 3 only to find out that it was filled with mashed potatoes and a thin layer of mac noodles ontop. They were also out of regular iced tea. We ordered an appetizer, but it wasn't served until our full order came out. Wealso waited a significant amount of time for our order for a party of 7. We got served about an hour after arrival. Next time,we'll dine in for lunch for a more enjoyable experience and all the options!!!!!! Serving sizes are big as we took home a lot ofleftovers. Read more
Even with one server, this place was fast and good. It's a small restaurant with only a few tables. It had great decor and... prices that weren't unreasonably high. It checked all of the boxes for a great place to stop for lunch, and I'm so glad wepicked it. I got to try the pulled pork and the brisket, both of which were tender and juicy. For the side I got beans- theydidn't have a unique flavor, but they were still very flavorful and tasted like my family's home cooking. My one critique isthat the bbq sauces should be at the table. We were only given the mild, sweet sauce, which was good, but it would've loved totry one with a kick to it. I would definitely come here again and recommend it for anyone wanting bbq in Bog Bear. We tried this place tonight after going to a previous choice and not wishing to wait an hour to get seated. We walked in and... checked to see how long the wait was and were fortunate enough to be seated right away. The place was full of people who seem tobe happy eating and we read the menu looking over all of the delicious choices they have. The hamburger selection is amazing andthe burgers are very large and very tasty. We got the brisket with the cheesy bread and sides of veggies and coleslaw and thatwas amazing. Our friends had the potato salad and said it was the best they've ever had and they don't throw compliments likethat around easily. Our waitress was Misty and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the attention she gave to ourtable and our order. Misty was very pleasant and charismatic which was a nice way to finish off an epic day in Big Bear lake.Our friends and us have decided that this will be our go to place every time we are in that area. The power was out on the Saturday that I went but they made it work. The server, although I forget her name, was wonderful. The... food can get a bit pricey but it was all delicious. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. Onion rings were perfect. Woulddefinitely return. Read more
