China River is pretty much the only Chinese restraunt my family and I ever eat at. Their combination plates are especially a... great deal. A very nice simple restaurant in Beverly, MA. Mostly for take out but you can dine in. Quick service and good portions for the... price. Good place if you want to have a quick freshly cook meal. You can watch the chef too. A rare sight for a take out joint. Read more
This establishment has become more interested in price gouging than they are extending appreciation, customer service, or... courtesies. Condiments are supposed to be a courtesy. This restaurant has already increased their prices several times & thoseprice increases should of factored in the price of their condiments. Despite these price hikes they are unwilling to extend acourtesy such as extra duck sauce regardless of how much you spend. Their food quality has also declined. I recommend China Jadeor Gourmet Garden in Beverly, both offer delivery & won't argue with you over extra duck sauce. I have ordered from them forover 25 years & despite my willingness to spend close to $40 today they preferred to decline the business over giving one smallside of duck sauce. No more. Read more
