Absolutely appalled with this restaurant. Walked in with my family to celebrate birthdays tonight and were immediately being... pushed out the door. The absolute rudest host who discriminates against families coming in with a baby. The worst experience ata restaurant in just the first 5 minutes that I?ve ever had in my life. We were told that they could not seat all of us withouta reservation (mind you more than half of the tables in the restaurant were empty) because they had 3 other parties of 6 comingin (which no parties of 6 ever came in the 2 and a half hours that we were there). We had to ask if we could sit at 2 separatetables and they were so perplexed, they couldn?t fathom us actually staying to eat. Once we were finally sat, at 2 tables nextto each other but could not push them together, I have never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. Read more

So honestly the food was completely enjoyable, but the service was so bad that I can?t give more than two stars. We were... constantly waiting for every step of service, drinks were empty multiple times with no one in sight, my second drink was sopoorly made I had to wait and wait until a server finally showed up again to just get a side of mixer to mix the drink myself.If I lived down the street I?d probably go again, but I live further away and wouldn?t go out of my way for it. Have dined here 3 times in the last 3 months. First time,my husband and I great! He got the sirloin,I got the prime rib ,rare.... He loved his;mine was very fatty. Second time brought my daughter. She got a chicken dish; just not done in a steak house. Itwas not good. My prime rib was perfect and so was my husband's sirloin. Third time, we brought friends from Connecticut, mydaughter, her husband and daughter. The guys all ordered the sirloin and they were all different sizes . I ordered 20 oz. Primerib and it was smaller than it should have been. We want to support this business but it's just not consistent. I've lived inBeverly since 1963 and I've seen how great this restaurant once was. Very nice restaurant, with a touch of elegance. Located at the Beverly train station (hence the name), so be careful when... crossing the tracks to get to the building. We had French onion soup and crab encrusted haddock, and both were superblyprepared. Definitely a place you should try when in town. Read more
