A group of six of us went to Stacks Sunday morning. I ordered a side order of hash browns and asked the waitress to have them... cooked crispy, but when she brought them to the table, they weren't cooked crispy so I asked her to take them back. When shecame back, she said they were too busy to cook them more and that they can only do that during the week. I guess if you order awell done hamburger and it comes back bloody they can only cook it the way you want it during the week. Then when my friend wentto pay with her Visa gift credit card, they said it was a scam and wouldn't even run the card. It wasn't a scam, it was a Visacredit card. The food was too expensive to be insulted and not even get my food cooked the way I wanted it, so obviously I won'tbe back. I asked to talk with the manager who said the same thing, that they were too busy to cook my hash browns more and heapologized. I didn't want an apology, I wanted my hash browns cooked the way I wanted them. I've never had such a lousyexperience at a restaurant in my life and I'm 74. Read more
I saw other reviews online that said to go with their ?riverboat? skillet. Boy am I glad I went with this choice. It was... fantastic! Better diners in the area. To begin with, the food was rather disappointing, I ordered the southern style breakfast and cinnamon... roll pancakes. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy was soured. The sausage links weren't the best quality or cooked till crisp,the scrambled eggs were undercooked as well and the pancake was rather good. Diner was busy when I went so maybe put it up tothat.
