Food and service was top notch. Nice place to grab a bite to eat. I had the special burger which was called "The Breakfast... Burger" it was really good. The burger was topped with bacon, hash browns, cheese and a fried egg on French toast which wasdusted with powdered sugar and maple syrup. It was a nice combination of salty and sweet. I'm glad I tried it. For our appetizerwe went with the pretzel with beer cheese and mustard dipping sauces. Glad to have found this restaurant and we will be back. Read more

This place hasn?t changed much since the last time I was here 4 years ago when a manager spilled drinks on one of our friends... and then laughed at it when he did it. First thing I noticed when we walked in, empty tables everywhere yet, there was a 30minute wait that turned into an hour. We were also told the kitchen was very far behind. Food was garbage and cold when it cameout. Steel plow has better food and a better atmosphere and you don?t get charged the ?Bettendorf? tax. Read more

I have never been disappointed in Central Standard, until now. The Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese didn't even taste like it had... any buffalo sauce on it at all. And the brussel sprouts were hard like they weren't even cooked or steamed. I was showing abuddy this place for the first time. He said he won't get food from you guys again. Stopped in for lunch today and needed a wheelbarrow to get out!! The BBQ Brisket and Bacon Burger I ordered was smothered in... toppings and the beef was prepared exactly how I prefer it. The little basket of fries on the side was cute AND the fries werehot and delicious. I also love a restaurant that toasts or grills their buns. Delicious!! Portion sizes are generous. Pricing is average for the area and the current economy. My only complaint is that I ordered an iced tea instead of a FiveCities beer but I will definitely fix that next time!! Read more

My wife and I sat at the bar top. The bartender was very attentive and hospitable. I ordered a plain cheese burger and side of... mac and cheese. The burger was very good, and the mac and cheese was also very good. I would definitely want to try the brisketmac and cheese next visit. My wife ordered the chicken pesto sandwich and she loved it. We love Central Standard. I won't say that everything on the menu is fabulous, because we've had a couple flops, but overall... we've always really enjoyed the food and milkshakes here. The restaurant is family friendly, but they still have sports on TV'sfor those that care. And they've always been very accommodating for our children with food allergies, which is alwaysappreciated. I would definitely recommend CS to others... unless you don't like burgers and milkshakes. But even then, try itanyways, because they do have many other options on the menu. ???? Read more
