Twelve in our party and $600+ later, we would definitely go again. We were in town to support my nephew who was starring in DC... Black Broadway's 7PM Opening Night (Friday) production of "Grease with a Side of Mumbo Sauce" at a nearby theatre. We wanted aplace to hang out and eat after the show. This fit the bill - website stated they were open til 1AM, but that apparently haschanged as we were abruptly told while trying to order more drinks and food at about 11PM. Other than that, the food waswonderful - Calamari, Artichoke Dip, Waffle Fries (exceptional!), Chili, Fish and Chips,, Salmon, Burgers, Salads... We had twotables. So excited and hungry that I forgot to take pictures of the food. There were pool tables upstairs and the ambience isnice. Will come earlier next time. Love that there's dedicated, barricaded off from street, outside seating. Very nicelocation. We walked from theatre to restaurant - 7 minute walk. Server was nice. Hopefully I'll be partaking of the WatermelonMule and Waffle Fries again. Read more
One of my favorite places to enjoy a great beer or two. Food is always great. We typically come here a few times a month. I am... still giving it 5 stars but was disappointed this past Saturday night to get some late night food and a few beers. Showed up at11:35pm and as we are about to sit down they announce they are closing soon. We ended up just leaving. Not sure if hours changedbut if so, the web site needs to be updated. Stopped by for happy hour with coworkers. The drinks were good, and all were $2 off. I also had the chipotle bbq wings and the... sweet smokey wings. They were saucy and flavorful. I liked the sweet smokey wings best—they had a bit of a spicy kick to them.The service was attentive, quick and welcoming. The location of the restaurant could not be better. Read more
We stopped by for lunch this past weekend and it was a good experience. The food was good, they definitely could use more... seasoning on their burgers, but it wasn’t terrible. Stay away from the Mac and cheeses, it’s just not good. The brusselsprouts however where immaculate! The drinks are also pretty good. Our bartender was nice and attentive even though she hadseveral customers. We also went upstairs to play a game of pool. You have to leave your license or some form of ID with thebartender, then they give you the balls and you get your stick from the pool area upstairs. At least that’s what happened whenwe went. There was no bartender working upstairs, so you’ll have to go downstairs if you want a drink. This is a pretty goodrestaurant all things considered. Came here with a friend and it was a great experience. Only stayed for appetizers and drinks, but what we had (nachos) were... amazing and the drinks complimented them well. I am giving 4 stars only because I didn't have as thorough an experience to givethem that, but I do plan to return and hope I can change that rating.
