So I wasn't quite sure what to make of this place when I showed up to pick up our pizza. It's located in the Promenade - a gated... apartment community. You park, go into the main lobby, down the stairs, down the hallway, and hang a left into Chef Tony'srestaurant to pick up your order. I wasn't sure if I'd found the hiddenest of gems, or just gotten duped into ordering takeoutpizza from a basement deli. Well, the great news is that the pizza was fantastic. We tried the Roma, the Peggie, and theOriginal. The crust and toppings were fresh and delicious. Our kids loved the cheesiness of the original, and my wife and Ireally enjoyed the balanced flavors and garlic kick of the Roma and Peggie. We also ordered the tiramisu - which did not go aswell. Most tiramisu I've had has a fairly heavy sprinkle of cocoa powder on top - but this one was absolutely doused incinnamon. I'm not sure if this is what was intended, or if the cinnamon was confused for cocoa powder, but this was theexception to my rule that there is no such thing as bad Tiramisu. Overall, though - so glad we stumbled across this restaurant,and we will definitely be back for more pizza! Read more

Chef Tony’s HEMI brand Detroit-style pizza was a revelation; his pies deftly balance crunchy, buttery crust with creamy block... cheese and a streak of herb-laced, homemade sauce on top. The cup pepperonis also introduced a new (to me) twist on thetraditional pizza topping. Just plain delicious. Read more
We love HEMI pizza...the crust is buttery like a focaccia, with a thick layer of brick cheese and a perfectly garlicky sauce... with bright tomato flavor. Bethesda needed a new pizza option, and this is different than your standard pizza. Definitely giveit a try, it’s delicious! Read more
Pizza honey hole. Crust is A1. Soft with a crispy edge. Just enough sauce. Service is slow but the food is worth it.
