Pizza here is pretty good with fresh ingredients. When you have fresh ingredients on a pizza that make a huge difference. Maybe... because it was Friday night, we got dirty fork and knife. Also the men’s bathroom did not have any soap left. I wonder whenwas the last time their staff have clean hands. It’s sad when they focusing on great food, but they did not focusing on thelittle stuffs that also matter too. Read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Can't tell you why it's been so long to go there living not far away. Went there middle of... the day during non peak hours so I can't tell you how it is when they're busy but the service was good and the manager andserver checked on us numerous times. Food came out fast. Got the margherita pizza. Pretty standard for me to get everywhere, andit blew me away!!! Will definitely return. Shared a medium between two people, that was plenty with a few slices to take home. Read more

Went to the original Frank Pepe pizzeria in CT years back before we moved to MD, the white clam pizza and other pizza were the... bombz! Came to the Westfield mall and found out they open on here too, ordered two pies to go and the taste are good! However, they need to clean the bottom of the oven, both pizza were overly burnt on the bottom! Read more

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is a small pizza company primarily located in New England. Any time I am in Connecticut I make a... beeline to the nearest one which unfortunately is not very often as it's a half day drive away. When I was making plans to visitthe Udvar Hazy Center in Chantilly Virginia I was pleasantly surprised to find there was a new Frank Pepe location 35 minutesaway in Bethesda, MD. The pizza at Frank Pepe Pizzeria is in my opinion the best pizza anywhere in the USA. Frank Pepe Pizzeriahas been baking pizza since 1925 and have it down pat. Crisp crust, just the right amount of delicious sauce and cheese. Notyour average floppy shopping center pizza and certainly not even in the same class as a giant pizza chain which in most cases isonly pizza in name. Frank Pepe is the real deal. My only issue is that there is no location next to my house! If you are in thearea you need to try it. You won't regret it. Read more

I'm not a fan of pizza made in the US. Pies fluctuate from a minimalist approach (paper-thin crust, almost no sauce or toppings)... to the pizza-on-steroids versions floating around (such as the Chicago-style deep dish, everything-but-the kitchen sinkapproach). Many, actually, most do not remotely resemble the OG of pizzas, the Neapolitan pizza. Typical of Napoli style pizzasare the thin crust, a signature feature of this style of pizza because they are baked in a screaming-hot brick oven. I visitedFran Pepe today for the first time, and I am happy to report that it did not dissapoint me. The pizzas I had are as close to thereal Neapolitan pizzas as possible in the US. Do they use Italian-American ingredient combinations you may not see in Napoli? Orcourse! But the brick-oven method, the thin crust, the fresh ingredients and the attention to details was remarkable. Thedetails went beyond the product; I loved that the pizzas are served tableside with plate, knife and fork, Italian style. Theoriginal Pepe started in Connecticut (where many swear the Italian American was born, but there are arguments for and againstthat), and is now in Montgomery county. I decided to try the mushroom and sausage version, which had fresh mushrooms and Italiansausage, and also ordered a Margherita to go. The menu also has salads and a short of Italian deserts. The service was great(thank you Xander for taking the time to briefly chat with me) so I totally recommend that you try Pepe's pizzas. Read more

Being from Connecticut originally I was excited to visit this restaurant. Our waiter was great and we enjoyed the chianti with... the old school small table glasses. Unfortunately the crust of the pizza was so hard we had trouble cutting it with a knife. Maybe a small saw would work better. Believe it is a problem with the dough and the oven deck temperature as the top of the piewas great. Get your oven temps dialed in guys. Read more

Good pizza, but honestly average. I’ve been told their pizzas are very fresh and use fresh ingredients and that showed in the... final product, but I felt like the sauce needed more flavor to it. I was a bit underwhelmed there. But the cheese was deliciousand they didn’t skimp. As for the crust, it was little too crunchy - I felt like it could have either been thinner or cooked alittle less. The service was not very good. It took 45 mins to get one pizza and in the past it has taken half as muchtime. I’d eat here again, but likely do takeout. Read more

Frank Pepe Pizzeria. A great place to get a pizza pie. It's cooked in a coal oven, so your pizza maybe burnt a little bit. The... pizza itself is great. All the ingredients are fresh. Depending on how far you live, you should eat at the restaurant, becauseit's fresh and hot, but that's just me. Other than that, you be the judge and try them out. Read more
