Reviews for Tozier's Restaurant in Bethel, VT
Classic Vermont eatery. Inside seating as well as an ordering window outside. Wholebelly clams are outstanding! My dad loves the... fried oysters. The seared scallops were done just right and my brother really enjoyed his steak. Our family has been enjoyingTozier's for over 40 years. Don't be put-off by the taxidermy... The deer heads are a big deal for hunters in New England. Read more
Very polite service. Had a steak dinner it was very good and tender could pull it apart with my fork. Suggested you make a... reservation. Desert was very good too. Yum yum Read more
Really enjoyed Sunday dinner here. The dining room is almost like walking onto the set of Twin Peaks. Very friendly staff, great... fried seafood, great chowder, generous serving of onion rings for an app, and maple creamees next door for dessert. Excited tohave a place to get whole belly clams and scallops within easy driving distance. Read more
In actuality, I have not been inside. My encounters with the place have always been at the counter for the varied ice cream... products and desserts offered there. The ice cream is Willards of Canada, I believe, and very good. The place is very Vermontand hard to pass even when it's busy. In fact, the whole scene is itself a rewarding complement to your ice cream order. Read more
Very disappointed. I have always loved going there. The prior owners took great pride in what was served . it was as close as... you could get for fresh seafood without going to Maine. The clams were certainly not the same. Frozen for sure. Rubbery and allstuck together. What a shame. Read more
Tozier's Restaurant appears to have indoor dining which I would have preferred. However, it was hard to tell if they did or... didn't due to the signage out front. I ended up going to the take out line and ordered 1 scoop of Black Main Bear in a cup. The ice cream was a bit grainy, but had an overall good flavor. In addition, I ordered the Haddock plate to go. The fish wasa good portion and well cooked. It was dipped in a batter and deep fried. The fries that came with it were on the salty side, but cooked perfectly crisp. The served the fish on the top of the fries which made some of the fries slightly soggy. If you hatesoggy fries. Order them on a separate plate. Overall the fries were crispy, but too salty for me. I gave a score of three - Iwas leaning toward a 4- because the people taking and giving the orders were lackluster at best. I don't expect a lot, but asmile and a please and thank you would go a long way. I say give this place a try. You might love it. I was satisfied with mymeal. Read more
Extremely disappointed with our takeout last night! This place is usually great. Not sure what happened. The menu is very... misleading. A seafood platter should come with the mentioned. It doesn't state to make a choice of one thing. Ordered 3seafood platters and an order of scallops. Paid $98.28 for 3 meals that looked like this! I have a food scale so I weighedit. That's how sad it was. 3.1 oz clam strips, 3.1 oz haddock and 4 oz of fries not pictured. The fries were EXTREMELY saltymy face was sweating! The prices or menu need to be altered. This is far from $100 worth of food!!???? Read more
The best lunch around. Cape Cod Reuben with perfectly cooked sweet potato fries! And the scenery is unforgettable.
