I wanted a typical Mexican plate, enchiladas Tacos beans and rice. The cheese enchiladas here are not smothered in Ranchera... sauce, they have more cheese and all you taste is the cheese. The tacos were ok, but the shell was soggy before I could finisheating the taco. The chips are a little too thick and the salsa is a bit watery. The rice was a little blan. The refried beanswere, refried beans, not many ways to screw them up I'm not a fan of this place, but I am from Central Texas and have myfavorite Tex Mex restaurants back home. Hard to compete with real Tex-Mex. We ended up trying this place because the littlefamily Mexican restaurant in Greenforest was closed on Monday. Oh well, now we know next time we are in Arkansas. I also gotmore reflux than normal and can't sleep yet, so I am sleep typing this review. Read more

Super cute Mexican restaurant with a small town feel but big flavors and wonderful service with suggestions and a smile! We had... the chicken chimichanga and chicken burrito dinner supreme. The owners are super humble and fun to talk to! Ask about thevarious decorations near the front door and along the wall! Read more

This seems like a great local eating spot and the people are very friendly. The food on the other hand is just OK. Nachos were... made from bland ingredients and the "watch out its hot" sauce only tasted like salty tomatoes. Not bad food, but nothing thatmade me want to come back. Read more

My 5 star rating was for the service. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The salsa was horrible just like other reviews... say. No effort put into it at all. The cheese enchiladas were good. The sauce needs work. Start with using dried new Mexicochilis softened in chicken stock, garlic powder and a little cumin along along with what you are putting in it. The rice andbeans needed a lot of work. Serving Fresh Pico de gallo would help your restaurant a lot. This is the first time I ever hadbad Mexican rice in restaurant. It did not have the familiar fluff I'm used to. The taco was horrible. Nothing Mexican aboutit. I doubt very much there is a Mexican cook in that Kitchen. I hate doing a bad review, but I hope the owners listens andmakes necessary improvements. We'll wait a couple of months then try it again to see if they really care about makingimprovements. Among the best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything was good, even the rice and beans were amazing. I loved their thick... tortilla chips and if I had to pick any any nits it would be that I prefer chunky salsa to smooth, but it was still really good. Read more

After reading some of the reviews , I almost skipped this restaurant, however I'm glad I went. I wrote a food column in the Los... Angeles area for about 5 years so I've sampled quite an array of Mexican Restaurants in my 50 + years. For Tex Mex, I was quitepleased with the food and service here. I received a friendly greeting and good service from the wait staff. Some people hadcomplained about the chips and salsa. The chips are quite thick but that's because they're homemade and don't taste like chipsout of a bag. The salsa was definitely not typical but I found their blended version fresh and a nice change from the usual. The chicken and cheese enchilada plate was tasty, well spiced with a generous serving of rice and beans. The food tasted freshand inspired and I'll definitely be back. For you folks reading reviews and on the fence about coming here , I'd say it's wortha try. I enjoyed La Cabana. Read more

Me and the wife got hungry while Paul and the nice people at Quality Tire were fixing our car. As Texans, we seriously debated... trying Tex-Mex outside of the Tex-Mex capitol of the world. We weren't sure if it would be good. We're very glad we ate here. Mynachos were delicious! The ground beef had such a great flavor! My wife had the cheese enchiladas, also very good! If you everget hungry while traveling through Berryville, give this place a try! Read more
