This seems like a great local eating spot and the people are very friendly. The food on the other hand is just OK. Nachos were... made from bland ingredients and the "watch out its hot" sauce only tasted like salty tomatoes. Not bad food, but nothing thatmade me want to come back. Read more
My 5 star rating was for the service. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The salsa was horrible just like other reviews... say. No effort put into it at all. The cheese enchiladas were good. The sauce needs work. Start with using dried new Mexicochilis softened in chicken stock, garlic powder and a little cumin along along with what you are putting in it. The rice andbeans needed a lot of work. Serving Fresh Pico de gallo would help your restaurant a lot. This is the first time I ever hadbad Mexican rice in restaurant. It did not have the familiar fluff I'm used to. The taco was horrible. Nothing Mexican aboutit. I doubt very much there is a Mexican cook in that Kitchen. I hate doing a bad review, but I hope the owners listens andmakes necessary improvements. We'll wait a couple of months then try it again to see if they really care about makingimprovements. I wanted a typical Mexican plate, enchiladas Tacos beans and rice. The cheese enchiladas here are not smothered in Ranchera... sauce, they have more cheese and all you taste is the cheese. The tacos were ok, but the shell was soggy before I could finisheating the taco. The chips are a little too thick and the salsa is a bit watery. The rice was a little blan. The refried beanswere, refried beans, not many ways to screw them up I'm not a fan of this place, but I am from Central Texas and have myfavorite Tex Mex restaurants back home. Hard to compete with real Tex-Mex. We ended up trying this place because the littlefamily Mexican restaurant in Greenforest was closed on Monday. Oh well, now we know next time we are in Arkansas. I also gotmore reflux than normal and can't sleep yet, so I am sleep typing this review. Read more
