Best bar in the area by far. Great beer selection, all the food is delicious and homemade with care by their chef. I highly... recommend the grandma pie, the Mac and cheese, wings, goat cheese fritters, and any one of their soup specials. His wife, theowner, is a wonderful person who makes you feel so welcome! All of the regular staff is great as well. Just keep in mind thatthey can get very busy during peak hours so sometimes service is a little slow, but they really do their best to keep everyonehappy. Good food, good quantity, but quite pricey, even without any alcohol. Having said that, likely true of all of Bernardsville.... Folks there were NOT very flexible. We wanted to sit outdoors in the back, but were told we could not. Only the front outdoorseating was available, and it was not as shady as the back. Read more
My family and I had dinner here for the first time and it was such a breath of fresh air! Literally! The patio atmosphere was... amazing! The food was Great! We have four kids and the staff was so accommodating and nice and it just made our night! We willfor sure be back! Thank you Claremont Tavern for making our family night out so enjoyable! Read more
Came here with some friends for drinks and burgers. The bill was pretty expensive for just a couple of beers and burgers. And... our server was nice, but not real great at her job. From the atmosphere, the service, the prices, to the taste of our food. Everything was delicious. My side of fries the asiago... cheese garlic fries are a garlic lovers dream! Chuck's of garlic all on that bowl. Burgers are juicy and full of flavor. Theonly thing we didn't enjoy to much was the onion rings. They were way to greasy. Read more
I actually think I enjoy their COVID setup more than their typical inside dining room! Claremont has converted their back... parking lot into an adorable outdoor dining area. Comfortable spacing between tables and great ambiance. Food is awesome asalways. Can't go wrong with any burger off their menu. Would love to see some more vegan/vegetarian options (ie animpossible/beyond burger added) so my veg friends can experience a Claremont "burger". Read more
My favorite tavern in NJ! Never been disappointed. Real deal menu - artisanal burgers ????, yummy flatbreads, top notch... entrees... what more can I say? I guess I can talk about the best Asiago fries and chicken sausage tortellini soup I evertasted. Sit at the bar and enjoy some live music jammed into corner of bar area for a few hours weekend nights. Can?t get enoughof this place. My go to when I need good grub. Read more
My husband and I love Claremont Tavern! Their burgers are amazing and also the Buffalo Chicken pizza is a favorite of ours!
