We went there on quiet Friday night with most tables empty so got full attention of our server. Staff was good and friendly and... place looks nice & clean?.But still can?t give more than 2stars?BECAUSE food is not good and super overpriced. We orderedregular entrees for kids as well and I had to ask if they served kid size quesadilla and 3 tiny tacos!!! Price was full butquantity was decoratedly low!!! ?so also the taste?food was bland?no salt or spices???? we had to ask server if they even makeanything with bit of spice ???? Where do i start! Place is super expensive for Mexican food at that level. Go to Casa Mya its the same price and like 10 levels... higher in quality and portions. Do yourself a favor and find another place. Read more
Honestly i never really complain about restaurants even bad ones but I had to say something this time. Plaza Tikal absolutely... sucks. They think that they are by the Bernardsville Inn they can charge like them for some sub standard Mexican food.are sooverpriced for the quality and quantity of the food there. I can't even understand the positive reviews for this place. TheSteak that was usually offered was a Skirts steak thats now some cheap dry meat. The portions are like what comes in a TVdinner. Food has zero flavor and not authentic by any means. Please avoid this place. Read more
This place is super over priced and generally flavorless. I got enchiladas and they arrived as if they had been sitting in the... fridge over night. Cold. Which. How it arrived so fast. And the verde was like water. So I ate cold soggy enchiladas and werebarely edible. And that?s all that came. No beans and rice with the dinner. My fiancé got fajitas and they don?t come with thestuff you put on the fajitas and the tortillas that come with are so small it?s a joke. We ordered chips and salsa and theportion is so small for 8 bucks. Enough chips for one person. Also just the lack of flavor. No fat. No salt. No spice. Nothing.I don?t mind spending $$$ on great Mexican but I?m out 80 bucks and it feels like half the food didn?t arrive and theyapparently left the flavor at the restaurant as well. Read more
Service is extremely laxed for indoor dining, waited 10 min for card to be charged, finally got up to get it so we could leave. ... Quac was excellent, but the chips were not fresh. Enchilada (chicken) wh/ said it had "mole" was NOT mole at all. Picturesonline looks like they have a bar, but they don't. Read more
Excellent service and food catered for my birthday in May! I had ordered for 25 family and close friends and everyone loved it.... I ordered an assortment of beef, short rib, shrimp, pork and veggie tacos, black beans, rice, and chicken and cheesequesadillas. Julio took the order explained everything and delivered timely. Went to this restaurant on a spur of the moment decision, and was pleasantly suprised. I got the carnitas (pork) tacos. The meat... was great quality and the verde salsa was good, but the meat was a bit dry and I wish there was a bit more spice on my taco. Mycompanion got the ground beef tacos, which were much better - the ground beef was extremely savory, toppings were really fresh,and the hard taco was perfectly crunchy. Also, regarding the interior, the restaurant is nice and clean, no complaints there.
